Louis Armand Desrochers was a Canadian lawyer. He served as Chancellor of the University of Alberta from 1970 to 1974. Desrochers was born in Montreal in 1928 and moved to Jasper, Alberta in his childhood. He was educated in Edmonton at the Collège des Jésuites, Collège Saint-Jean, and then at the University of Ottawa. He completed a law degree at the University of Alberta in 1952 and was a lawyer for Maclab Construction. He also served on the University of Alberta Board of Governors and worked to strengthen connections between Collège Saint-Jean and the university. Three years after he left his position as chancellor, the Collège was integrated as a satellite campus of the University, as the University of Alberta Faculté Saint-Jean. In 2001, Desrochers was named to the Alberta Order of Excellence. He held honorary degrees from the University of Alberta, University of Ottawa, and Laval University. In 1953, he Marcelle Boutin; with her he had five children. Desrochers died in 2015 at the age of 87.

Jim Boucher ( BOO-shay or boo-SHAY; is a Cree and Dene Indigenous Canadian businessman and political leader. As an elected chief, he represented the Fort McKay First Nation, . He established the Fort McKay Group of Companies in 1986, and continued to be chairman and president of the Fort McKay Group of Companies, president of the Athabasca Tribal Council, grand chief of Treaty 8 First Nations of Alberta, vice-chairperson, Board of Governors of Keyano College in Fort McMurray, Alberta, and chairperson for the National Aboriginal Economic Development Board.
Samuel Sereth Lieberman was a Canadian judge. Lieberman was the first Jewish judge in the province of Alberta. He was inducted into the Alberta Order of Excellence in 2006.
Frederick Stephen Mannix was a Canadian businessman and the founder of Alberta's dynastic Mannix family. In 1898, Mannix started a contracting business and by the end of his life had built it into one of the largest construction firms in western Canada. Upon his death, the family business passed to his son Frederick Charles Mannix. The Mannix family business interests are now worth around $3.3 billion and are controlled by third-generation members Frederick Philip Mannix and Ronald Neil Mannix.
