Peter Ilsted was a Danish printmaker and painter. He was most associated with domestic interior scenes.
Oluf Høst was a Danish Expressionist painter, the only member of the Bornholm school who was a native Bornholmer. Although he studied in Copenhagen, he returned to the Danish island of Bornholm in 1929 where he remained with his family for the rest of his life. Bognemark, a little farmhouse near Gudhjem, was one of Høst's favourite motifs. From 1935 on, he painted the farm some 200 times under varying conditions at different times of the year, often reflecting his particular mood at the time. His home in Gudhjem, built from two fishermen's cottages with a rocky garden in the rear, is named "Norresân" after the nearby harbour, Nørresand Havn, where he painted many of his works.
Poul Simon Christiansen, frequently referred to as Poul S. Christiansen was a Danish painter who developed a Colourist style under Kristian Zahrtmann and as a result of his appreciation of the works of Paul Gauguin and Vincent van Gogh. He painted landscapes and religious works, many of which became popular as reproductions.
Gunnar Aagaard Andersen was a Danish sculptor, painter, designer and architect whose work belongs to the Concrete art movement.
Den Frie Udstilling is a Danish artists' association, founded in 1891 by artists in protest against the admission requirements for the Kunsthal Charlottenborg. Modeled on the Salon des Refusés, it is Denmark's oldest association of artists. Now located on Copenhagen's Oslo Plads next to Østerport Station, it works as an arts centre, continuing to exhibit works created and selected by contemporary artists rather than those chosen by cultural authorities.
Johan Gudmann Rohde was a Danish painter, lithographer and designer. He was the principal founder of Den Frie Udstilling, established in 1891 to allow artists to exhibit works which did not fall within the Academy's selection criteria.
Harald Slott-Møller was a Danish painter and ceramist. Together with his wife, the painter Agnes Slott-Møller, he was a founding member of Den Frie Udstilling.
Povl Christensen was a Danish painter and illustrator who, in the early 1930s, joined the artists' colony in northwestern Zealand known as the Odsherred Painters. He is however primarily remembered as a highly proficient graphic artist, not only for his woodcuts and engravings but for his contributions to overall book design.
Summer Evening at Skagen. The Artist's Wife and Dog by the Shore is an 1892 painting by P.S. Krøyer, one of the best known of the artistic community known as the Skagen Painters. The work shows Marie Krøyer, the artist's wife, standing on the beach at Skagen with their dog Rap at her side and the moonlight reflected in the sea.
Ole Beck Kielberg was a Danish painter. In the early 1930s, he joined the artists' colony in northwestern Zealand known as the Odsherred Painters. He is remembered above all for his landscapes of the countryside in the north of Zealand

Karl Georg Jensen was a Danish painter. He is remembered for his landscapes of northern Zealand and for his architectural interiors.
Svend Hammershøi was a Danish painter and ceramist. He is remembered principally for the classical pottery designs he contributed to the Royal Copenhagen and to Kähler's Ceramics Factory in Næstved.

Suzette Catherine Holten was a Danish painter and ceramist who belonged to the Skovgaard family of artists. In addition to landscapes, flower paintings and portraits, she created and decorated ceramics and also worked as an embroiderer. As a woman, she was unable to achieve the same level of acclaim as her father or brothers.
