Erik Fredrik Christian Svensson (born 3 October 1990) is a Swedish television personality and presenter. He is the sidekick of David Lindgren in Melodifestivalen 2018 as "Fab Freddie". He has earlier been a television presenter for the Barnkanalen show Morgonshowen. In 2017, he presented the Barnkanalen kids show Random Mix.

Biography

Svensson studied IT-media at John Bauer gymnasiet in Kalmar, and then studied TV production at Gamleby folkhögskola. [1] After finishing his education he moved to Stockholm and started working as production manager for guest and contestants for TV productions such as Körslaget , Let's Dance (both broadcast on TV4) and Paradise hotel (broadcast on TV3). [2] He then worked as a runner during the filming of the TV shows Solsidan and Äkta Människor . [2] In 2013, Svensson won an award for "Best organizer" at the TV producers award gala Riagalan, for his work as an organizer for the audience on several TV productions. [3] He has also presented an award during the QX gay gala in 2018. [4]

Svensson has appeared in several YouTube videos with other YouTubers and presented his own shows on Splay such as "Sminkduellen", "Försökskaninerna" and "Fomo". [5]

In 2016, Svensson presented the Barnkanalen morning show Morgonshowen. [6] In 2017 he presented the kids show Random Mix at Barnkanalen. [7]

In 2016, Svensson acted as the "kids superhero" during the Världens barn-gala travelling around Sweden and collected money for Världens barn help organization. The gala was broadcast on SVT. [8]

In 2017, he started the podcast Fabfreddie och helt vanliga Mia TV-podden, along with TVproducer Mia Berg, in which they tell about their experiences in the TV industry. [9]

During Melodifestivalen 2018 he was a sidekick to presenter David Lindgren, as "Fab Freddie". [10]

He participates as a celebrity dance in Let's Dance 2019, which is broadcast on TV4 [11]

Solsidan is a Swedish television comedy series that premiered on 29 January 2010 on TV4. The series is named after a small part of Saltsjöbaden called Solsidan. It revolves around Alex and Anna who are expecting their first child and have just moved to Alex's childhood home in Saltsjöbaden, Stockholm County. John Charles Kenneth Gärdestad was a Swedish songwriter, best known for writing lyrics for the songs of his brother, Ted Gärdestad. He participated at Melodifestivalen 1979 as a songwriter for the winning song "Satellit" performed by his brother. The song went on to Eurovision the same year, where it placed 17th. Gärdestad was also an architect, affiliated to the private Kunskapsskolan, where he designed the interior of several of its high schools. Gärdestad published the biography Jag vill ha en egen måne in 2005. In later years he became a mental health activist, and created the "Ted Gärdestad Stipend", a prize awarded to amateur singers and songwriter.

Established by Swedish magazine QX in 1999, the Gaygalan Awards are an annual event created to hand out prizes for LGBT achievements. In 2004, the gala was broadcast for the first time on Sveriges Television when it was held at Hamburger Börs with Annika Lantz as the host.

"Voices" is a song performed by Congolese-Swedish singer Tusse, composed by Joy Deb, Linnea Deb, Jimmy "Joker" Thörnfeldt and Anderz Wrethov. The song competed in Melodifestivalen 2021, where it made it through to the final on 13 March 2021. The song received the most points from both the viewers and the international jury in the final and won the final with 175 points, 57 points ahead of the runner-up. It represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam. Following the song's win at Melodifestivalen, it ascended to number one on the Swedish Sverigetopplistan chart. It was later certified Platinum by the Swedish Recording Industry Association.
