Freya Adams is an actress, writer, and producer, best known for her role in the film Advantageous . She is also the President and COO of OREAD Entertainment, where she works on developing new Film, TV, and Video Game projects. [1] [2]
Freya was born and raised in the Chicago suburb of Wheaton, Illinois. Her parents, who were born and raised in Maharashtra, India, are of Persian, Russian, and Indian ethnicity. Her father is a civil engineer, and her mother is a computer software engineer. She began acting as a child, and growing up, she spent her summers abroad visiting extended family in India. She also spent part of her high school years in Quito, Ecuador, where she studied botany. She went on to earn a BA in creative writing with an emphasis in playwriting from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she discovered her love of storytelling.
Her first starring role was in Taste the Revolution , followed by a role in the in the Bollywood movie Kal Ho Naa Ho .
She consistently stars in television series, including, The Blacklist , The Rookie, and New Amsterdam , and has appeared in acclaimed short films such as Ayesha, Gloria, and Parallel. She was highlighted by IMDb as one of the ten rising actresses to watch, with her most notable performance in the independent drama Advantageous, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
