Friday Download: The Movie (released theatrically as Up All Night) is a 2015 British comedy film directed by John Henderson and is based on Friday Download , a children's entertainment programme airing on CBBC. The film was announced in 2014 and was released on 22 May 2015. It stars Dionne Bromfield, Shannon Flynn, Bobby Lockwood, George Sear, Richard Wisker, Ethan Lawrence, Louisa Connolly-Burnham and Tyger Drew-Honey. The film was distributed by Great Point Media and produced by Jeremy Salsby, Jules Elvins and Dan Shepherd, with Toby Davies writing the screenplay.

Production

The film was shot over four weeks in and around Swansea. [1] Filming commenced on 6 September 2014 in Margam Country Park, Wales. [2] The film was fully financed by Great Point Media and is produced by Jeremy Salsby of Saltbeef TV and Jules Elvins of Pilot Media. [3]

Release

Friday Download: The Movie was released in the UK and Ireland on 22 May 2015, exclusively in Vue cinemas. The film was released under the title Up All Night. International sales were handled by Genesis Media Sales. [4]

Friday Download: The Movie was released on DVD and on demand by Spirit Entertainment Limited on 19 October 2015. [5]

Richard Wisker is a BAFTA Award-nominated British actor and presenter from Dagenham, England, known for his role as Liam O'Donovan in Tracy Beaker Returns. From 2013 to 2015 he portrayed Rich in the CBBC series Dani's Castle. Wisker also played the role Declan in Millie Inbetween and Flatmates.

Shannon Flynn is an English actress and presenter from Rochdale, Greater Manchester, who is best known for appearing in Friday Download as well as Emily James in the BBC school-based drama, Waterloo Road., and had starred in its film, Up All Night. From 2013–2015, Flynn starred in the CBBC children's show, Dani's Castle.

Ceallach Spellman is an English actor and presenter best known for playing Matthew Williams in the revival of ITV drama Cold Feet, Harry Fisher in the BBC One school-based drama Waterloo Road from 2010 to 2011 and hosting Friday Download and various other programmes on CBBC.

Friday Download was a British children's entertainment television programme, produced by Saltbeef Productions on CBBC. It premiered on 6 May 2011. The final presenting team consisted of Molly Rainford, Anaïs Gallagher, Harvey Cantwell, Akai Osei, Leondre Devries and Charlie Lenehan. The show ran for nine series from 2011 until 2015.

<i>Wolfblood</i> British television series

Wolfblood is a fantasy teen drama television series targeted at a young audience. Created by Debbie Moon, it is a co-production between CBBC and ZDF/ZDFE. The television series revolves around the life of the species known as wolfbloods. They are creatures that have enhanced senses and look like humans but can turn into wolves at will — reminiscent of werewolves — but can also control their transformation during the day as well. They are distinct from werewolves but just like werewolves, their transformation is uncontrolled during a full moon, and they are at their weakest during "the dark of the moon", at a new moon. The television series focuses on their daily life and the challenges that they face to hide their secret. Each series has new characters and concepts.

Dani's Castle is a British children's comedy series broadcast on the CBBC Channel. Dani inherits a castle in Northern Ireland from her deceased aunt and gets more than she expected. She meets three residents, an unknown cousin, and two people who died 250 years ago. It is the spin-off series to Dani's House. Series 1 began airing on 17 January 2013 on the CBBC Channel, and 1 April 2013 on ABC3. Series 2 of Dani's Castle aired from 14 November 2013 to 3 January 2014.
