GB Group S.A. is a diversified business conglomerate based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. It is a parent company of over a dozen industrial and trading companies with operations concentrated in Haiti, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Saint Maarten and offices in the United States collaborating with more than 4,000 employees and in more than 15 countries companywide in business organizations. History

In 1972, founder Gilbert Bigio was part of a group of investors who inaugurates Aciérie d'Haïti (Haiti Steelworks), the first steel plant in the country. [4] In the 1980s, Gilbert Bigio became the majority shareholder and the plant has a virtual monopoly on steel in the Haitian market. [5] In 1981, the group founded Huileries Haïtiennes, a refining plant of edible oil. [6]

In January 2016, GB Group sold to Groupe financier national its 50% stake of Distributeurs nationaux, S.A. (DINASA), the only integrated oil and gas Company in Haiti. DINASA wholesales and provides provides commercial and industrial clients with aviation fuel, LPG, diesel, fuels, bitumen, fuel oil and lubricants services along with its sister company Sodigaz, a propane dispenser.

The Haiti national football team represents Haiti in international football. Haiti is administered by the Fédération Haïtienne de Football (FHF), the governing body for football in Haiti. They have been a member of FIFA since 1934, a member of CONCACAF since 1961 and a member of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) since 1978. Haiti's home ground is Stade Sylvio Cator in Port-au-Prince and the team's manager is Gabriel Calderón Pellegrino.

The Caribbean Cup was the championship tournament for national association football teams that are members of the Caribbean Football Union. The first competition, established by Shell and run by former England Cricket fast bowler Fred Rumsey, was contested in 1989 in Barbados. The Caribbean Cup served as a qualification tournament among CFU members for the CONCACAF Gold Cup. The 2005 Caribbean Cup was the thirteenth edition of the Caribbean Cup hosted by Barbados and won by Jamaica. In all, 30 countries were invited, of which, 22 participated and 8 withdrew.

The 2007 Caribbean Cup was the fourteenth edition of the biennial Caribbean Cup, the finals of which were contested in Trinidad and Tobago between 12 January and 23 January 2007. The four semifinalists qualified for the 2007 edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. In all, 24 of the eligible countries participated.

Lafiteau, also called Carrefour Lafiteau, is a small industrial port town, about nine miles north of the capital, Port-au-Prince, in the commune of Cabaret in the Haiti. It lies to the south of Titanyen. Many supply ships entered this port in the aftermath of the 2010 Haiti earthquake as part of earthquake relief operations. The road to the port is maintained well after the earthquake, and the port and its jetties also, which suffered damage due to the earthquake, are in continuous process of refurbishing.

A member state of the Caribbean Community is a state that has been specified as a member state within the Treaty of Chaguaramas or any other Caribbean state that is in the opinion of the Conference, able and willing to exercise the rights and assume the obligations of membership in accordance with article 29 of the Treaty of Chaguaramas. Member states are designated as either More economically developed country (MDCs) or Less economically developed countries (LDCs). The Haitian Basketball Federation (FHB) is the governing body of basketball in Haiti. It was founded in 1970 and members of the FIBA since its formation.

The Haiti women's national under-20 football team represents Haiti in international football for women at this age level and is controlled by the Fédération Haïtienne de Football (FHF).
