The GB Theatre Company [1] is a British touring company that specialises in outdoor productions of Shakespeare. Founded in 2010 by Gillian Roca and Barrie Palmer. The first productions in 2010 were As You Like It directed by Neil Sheppeck and Merry Wives of Windsor directed by Jenny Stephens. The productions were played in rep and starred [2] Gabriel Thomson, Matt Milburn, Stacey Roca and Alexander Delamere. The tour took in Dublin's Trinity College, [3] Ramme Gaard in Norway, Prague Castle, Norwich Cathedral, Kentwell Hall and Arundel Castle.

The following year the Company produced Romeo and Juliet and Twelfth Night which was directed by Michael Woodwood. [4] Several new performers joined Gabriel Thomson as Romeo and David Davies who played Friar Lawrence and took over as Mercutio when the Company played The Victorian Embankment Gardens in London. Once again, Norwich Cathedral and Arundel Castle were on the tour schedule and appear on the website as destinations for 2012. Indeed, the Company is the headline act at The Dublin Shakespeare Festival, The Norwich Shakespeare Festival and The Arundel Festival. Arundel is the seat of The Duke of Norfolk who is often in attendance at the Company's performances there. [5] [6] [7]

The Company features actors in traditional costume and live music. [8] [9] [10]

In 2012 the company toured internationally with The Tempest directed by Jack Shepherd, (famous as television's Wycliffe) and The Taming of the Shrew directed by Jenny Stephens. Venues included Exeter Castle, Norway's Ramme Gaard, Norwich Cathedral, Kensington Palace Gardens, Warwick Castle, Arundel Castle. The media attention focused on the success of The Tempest with its solid performances. The 2013 programme was announced as A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Merchant of Venice.

Pembroke Players is an amateur theatrical society in Cambridge, England, founded in 1955 and run by the students of Pembroke College, Cambridge. It is the most active College drama society in the university, staging or producing over 25 drama productions and comedy smokers every year. It is also the only College drama society to run its own international tours. Nicholas Ronald Ormerod OBE is a British theatre designer and co-founder of the international theatre company Cheek by Jowl. In 1981 he founded Cheek by Jowl with Declan Donnellan, and they are the company's co-artistic directors. In addition to his Cheek by Jowl productions, Ormerod has made theatre, opera and ballet with companies across the world. He studied law at Trinity College, Cambridge before studying for BA in theatre design at the Wimbledon School of Art.

The Ian Charleson Awards are theatrical awards that reward the best classical stage performances in Britain by actors under age 30. The awards are named in memory of the renowned British actor Ian Charleson, and are run by the Sunday Times newspaper and the National Theatre. The awards were established in 1990 after Charleson's death, and have been awarded annually since then. Sunday Times theatre critic John Peter (1938–2020) initiated the creation of the awards, particularly in memory of Charleson's extraordinary Hamlet, which he had performed shortly before his death. Gdańsk Shakespeare Festival

Gdańsk Shakespeare Festival is an international theatre festival devoted to the idea of the Elizabethan theatre, and especially to the works of William Shakespeare. The event was first organized in 1993, on the initiative of Theatrum Gedanense Foundation, which had been created by Professor Jerzy Limon and Władysław Zawistowski, with Charles, Prince of Wales as its patron. Its original name, "Gdańsk Shakespeare Days" was transformed into "Gdańsk Shakespeare Festival" in 1997, during the celebration of Gdańsk's millennium.

Tomahawk Theatre Company

Tomahawk is a theatre company based in Oxford, South East England. Founded in 2005 by Alex Nicholls and Oliver Baird among others, experienced personnel work alongside young actors, directors and technicians, many of whom have gone on to train in London at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Georgia Shakespeare 20th/21st-century American theatre company

Georgia Shakespeare was a professional, not-for-profit theatre company located in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States on the campus of Oglethorpe University from 1985-2014. Georgia Shakespeare produced three plays annually, primarily between June and November. Twelve educational programs were developed in the history of Georgia Shakespeare. These programs included "The High School Tour", a "High School Acting Competition", "Camp Shakespeare", a "High School Conservatory", a "No Fear Shakespeare" training program for educators, after school residencies, school tours, student matinees, classes for professionals, and in-school workshops. At its peak, it welcomed 60,000 patrons annually to its performances.

David Davies is an English actor best known for his portrayal of Shakespeare's characters and for playing leading parts when he was the Company Manager of The GB Theatre Company.

Flute Theatre

Flute Theatre is a touring theatre company which performs the works of William Shakespeare to international interactive audiences mainly composed of people who could not ordinarily access the performing arts such as children with autism and their families. The company was founded by Emma Richards and the actress Kelly Hunter MBE, the latter also being the Artistic Director and a performer in the company.

Gyula Shakespeare Festival

The Gyula Shakespeare Festival is a one-week to two-week long, international Festival organised annually since 2005 in Gyula, Hungary. Organizers of the Festival have been József Gedeon (2005–2016), Marianna Varga (2016–2017), and Tibor Elek (2017–present).
