Roeselare is a Belgian city and municipality in the Flemish province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Roeselare proper and the towns of Beveren, Oekene and Rumbeke.

The team was previously known was Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team, but in 2009, with the creation of the UCI Professional Continental team Cervélo TestTeam, the women's team changed names to match the men's team. When the men's Cervélo TestTeam merged with Garmin–Transitions for the 2011 season, the team changed names again, becoming Garmin-Cervélo to again match the men's team. In 2007, the team was known as Raleigh-Lifeforce-Creation and prior to 2007, the team was known as the Univega Pro Cycling Team.
Dwars door Vlaanderen(English: Across Flanders) is a semi-classic road bicycle race in Belgium, held annually since 1945. The race starts in Roeselare and finishes in Waregem, both in West Flanders. Since 2017 the event is included in the UCI World Tour.

Kirsten Carlijn Wild is a Dutch former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2004 and 2021, for eight professional teams. During her track cycling career, Wild rode at the Summer Olympic Games in 2012, 2016 and 2020, winning a bronze medal at the latter Games, in the omnium. She won eighteen medals including nine golds at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships, and eighteen medals including eight golds at the UEC European Track Championships. Wild also took over 100 victories in road racing, and won two medals at the UCI Road World Championships.
Maurice Blomme was a Belgian professional road bicycle racer. He competed in the team pursuit event at the 1948 Summer Olympics. In 1950, Blomme was the winner of the 12th stage of the 1950 Tour de France.
Frans Melckenbeeck is a retired Belgian professional road bicycle racer. In 1962, Melckenbeeck won one stage of the Tour de France, and in 1963 he won Liège–Bastogne–Liège. He won 4 stages in the 1964 and 1965 Vuelta a España. Melckenbeeck also competed in the team pursuit at the 1960 Summer Olympics.
Albert Van Vlierberghe was a Belgian professional road bicycle racer. Van Vlierberghe won three stages in the Tour de France, and three stages in the Giro d'Italia. He also competed in the team time trial and the team pursuit events at the 1964 Summer Olympics.
Emma Karolina Johansson is a Swedish retired professional racing cyclist. Nicknamed Silver Emma, Johansson accumulated many second and third places at major championships and one-day classics. In 2013 she finished the year as number one on the UCI Women's World Ranking.
Pascale Jeuland-Tranchant is a French former road and track racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2007 and 2019 for the Poitou–Charentes.Futuroscope.86, SAS–Macogep and Doltcini–Van Eyck Sport teams. At the 2010 UCI Track Cycling World Championships, Jeuland won the gold medal in the scratch event. Her older sister is fellow road racing cyclist Nathalie Jeuland. She is married to Guillaume Tranchant.

Achiel Buysse (1918–1984) was a Belgian cyclist. He was born on 20 December 1918 at Lochristi, Belgium and died on 23 July 1984 at Wetteren, Belgium. He was a professional cyclist from 1938 to 1950. He is the father-in-law of Michel Vaarten, and the grandfather of Pascal Elaut and Luc Colyn who were also racing cyclists.

Sara Mustonen is a Swedish racing cyclist, who most recently rode for UCI Women's Continental Team Chevalmeire Cycling Team. Prior to becoming a cyclist she was a boxer. She took up cycle racing after working as a bicycle courier. She competed in the women's road race at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2013 UCI women's road race in Florence. Her father is Finnish.
