Gaetan Jabeemisar is a Mauritian politician who served as the Chief Commissioner of Rodrigues from 12 January 2011 to 11 February 2012. He assumed the position following the resignation of the former Chief Commissioner, Johnson Roussety, who was under a motion of no confidence. [1] [2]
Hailing from the village of Corail-Petite-Butte on Rodrigues island, Jabeemissar completed his secondary studies before working in education for 27 years. [1] He left this job to enter politics as a member of the Rodrigues Movement party, and was elected to the Rodrigues Regional Assembly during its first elections in 2002. [1] He was re-elected in 2006 and rose to the position of Deputy Chief Commissioner. [1] After the forced resignation of Chief Commissioner Johnson Roussety, Jabeemissar was sworn in to the same position by President Anerood Jugnauth on 12 January 2011. [1] In 2012, after 13 months at the helm, he was re-elected to the Rodrigues Regional Assembly. He was Minority Leader of the legislature, [3] but was not re-elected in the 2017 elections. [4]

Dominique Gaston André Strauss-Kahn is a French economist, politician, former managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and a figure in the French Socialist Party who attained notoriety due to his involvement in several financial and sexual scandals. He is often referred to in the media, and by himself, by his initials DSK. Strauss-Kahn was appointed managing director of the IMF on 28 September 2007, with the backing of then–President of France Nicolas Sarkozy. He served in that capacity until his resignation on 18 May 2011, in the wake of an allegation that he had sexually assaulted a hotel maid. Other allegations followed, but he was acquitted.
Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta, often known by his initials IBK, was a Malian politician who served as the president of Mali from September 2013 to August 2020, when he was forced to resign in the 2020 Malian coup d'état. He served as Mali's prime minister from February 1994 to February 2000 and as president of the National Assembly of Mali from September 2002 to September 2007.
Roch Marc Christian Kaboré is a Burkinabé banker and politician who served as the President of Burkina Faso from 2015 until he was deposed in 2022. He was the Prime Minister of Burkina Faso between 1994 and 1996 and President of the National Assembly of Burkina Faso from 2002 to 2012. Kaboré was also president of the Congress for Democracy and Progress (CDP) until his departure from the party in 2014. He founded the People's Movement for Progress party that same year.

He succeeded Sir Anerood Jugnauth, who spent nine years as president from 2003 until resigning in March 2012. Kailash Purryag previously served as Member of Parliament, Minister and Speaker of the National Assembly; he made his debut in the political arena at an early age in 1976.
