Nirmala Devi, also known as Nirmala Arun, was an Indian actress in the 1940s and a Hindustani classical vocalist of the Patiala Gharana. She was the mother of Bollywood actor Govinda.

Anmol Rattan is 1950 Bollywood drama film directed by M. Sadiq. The film was produced by Jaimani Dewan for his Dewan Productions banner, with music composed by Vinod. The film starred Karan Dewan, who was known as a "jubilee star" with most of his films becoming box-office successes. He was the younger brother of producer Jaimani Dewan. Karan's co-stars were Meena Shorey, Nirmala, Gope, Madan Puri and Gulab.

Karan Dewan was an Indian cinema actor in Hindi films. He worked in over seventy films from 1941 to 1979. He started as a journalist while still in college, editing a film-based magazine in Urdu. His brother was the film producer and director Jaimani Dewan.
Meena Shorey was a Pakistani film actress who worked first in Indian cinema and later Pakistani cinema. She appeared in Hindi/Urdu and Punjabi films. Credited in films by her mononym, Meena, her real name was Khurshid Jehan. She started her acting career playing a character role, as Ambhi, Raja of Taxila's sister in Sohrab Modi's Sikandar (1941). Married to her third husband, Roop K. Shorey, by the mid-1940s, she found fame when she acted in her husband's film Ek Thi Larki (1949), opposite actor Motilal. The story was written by I. S. Johar, who also starred in the film. The "foot-tapping" music composed by Vinod became a "huge hit", with Meena becoming an "icon" for the "new liberated" young women. Meena was acclaimed as the "Lara Lappa Girl", from the song of same title in the film. She was one of the first women to be recognised in Indian cinema as a "comedienne of calibre". She was also popularly known as The Droll Queen of Partition as she worked as a comedienne [Droll] in both in India and Pakistan [countries resulting from partition].
Piya Ghar Aaja is an Indian film directed by Prahlad Dutt and starring Meena Kumari, Karan Dewan, Saroj, Agha Jaan and Mohantara Talpade. Meena Kumari also lent her voice for playback and sang seven songs in this film. The film was released on April 23, 1948. Incidentally, the film’s original title was "Jalan".
Ek Shringaar — Swabhimaan commonly abbreviated as Swabhimaan is an Indian television series produced under the banner Rajshri Productions, by Sooraj Barjatya. The show premiered on 19 December 2016, on Colors TV and replaced the show Swaragini. This show is also available on Voot, Viacom18's Digital Platform. The show revolves around two sisters Meghna, Naina and their mother Sharda who has raised her daughters to be independent and self-sufficient. The series aired its final episode on 29 September 2017. It was later shifted to the 11:00 PM Time Slot. It was replaced by Colors TV Show Laado - Veerpur Ki Mardani at the 9:30 PM Primetime Slot.

The film was simultaneously made in Kannada as Gaali Gopura by the same banner and director. Both versions were successful at the box office.

It was jointly produced by Shrikant Bhasi, Nishant Pitti, & Pictures, Tony D'Souza, and Vishal Rana. The film follows a terrorist who plans to bomb Mumbai along with his compatriots. After meeting with an accident, he loses memory of his mission, but an investigating officer refuses to take his word for it, and plans to kill him in an encounter.
