Gael Nagaiya (born 8 May 1966) is a former netball player who, in 1992, was the 100th woman ever to play for the New Zealand national netball team. She has also served as a selector for the team. [1] [2]

Netball career

Gael Nagaiya (née Robinson) played netball for Auckland and was also selected for the New Zealand Under-21 team. In 1992, she was selected for the Silver Ferns, the national netball team, making her debut against England during the team's tour to the United Kingdom at the end of that year. She played one other test match on the tour but those were her only matches for New Zealand. [1]

After a coaching and administrative role in netball clubs, Nagaiya was appointed as a selector for the Silver Ferns in 2011. In 2012 she became an emerging talent selector and in 2013 she was made the convenor of the national netball selectors, a position she held until 2018. [2] [3] [4]

Laura Robyn Langman is a retired New Zealand international netball player, who last played domestic netball for the Sunshine Coast Lightning in the Australian Super Netball league. Primarily a midcourt player, Langman is a former captain and vice-captain of the New Zealand national netball team. She is the most capped player in the history of the Silver Ferns, having overtaken Irene van Dyk's record of 145 test matches in October 2018.

Robyn Denise Broughton is a New Zealand netball coach. Broughton coached the Southern Sting from 1998 to 2007 during the National Bank Cup, winning seven titles in ten years. She was also an assistant coach for the New Zealand national netball team from 2000 to 2002, and is currently a national selector. From 2012 to 2015, Broughton coached the Central Pulse in the ANZ Championship, after four years with the Southern Steel and later coached the Hertfordshire Mavericks in the Netball Superleague.

Kayla Malvina Johnson is a New Zealand netball player. As a high school student, Cullen played representative netball and basketball, and competed at a national level in athletics. In 2008, she was selected in the New Zealand U21 netball team, and was a member of the side that finished second at the 2009 World Youth Netball Championships, behind Australia.

Sulu Fitzpatrick, also known as Sulu Tone-Fitzpatrick, is a New Zealand netball and rugby sevens player. She plays for the Northern Mystics in the ANZ Championships. She can play the Goal Keeper, Goal Defence, and Wing Defence positions. She is of Samoan heritage.

Kelly Jury is a New Zealand netball international. She represented New Zealand at the 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games. During the ANZ Championship era Jury played for Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic. Since 2020, she has played for Central Pulse in the ANZ Premiership. Jury was a prominent member of the Pulse teams that won the 2020 and 2022 ANZ Premierships. Alongside Tiana Metuarau, she was co-captain of the 2022 Pulse team. She was the 2022 ANZ Premiership Player of the Year and shared the 2022 Dame Lois Muir Supreme Award with Grace Nweke.

Tiana Metuarau is a New Zealand netball international. Between 2017 and 2020, she was a prominent member of the Central Pulse team that won the 2018 Super Club title and the 2019 and 2020 ANZ Premiership titles. In 2022, Metuarau was co-captain of the Pulse team that won a third ANZ Premiership title.

Ana Noovao was an international netball player who captained the New Zealand team. She has since coached netball, including the Cook Islands national team.

Millie Munro is a former netball player for the Silver Ferns, the New Zealand national netball team, who played for her country on 41 occasions, including at the 1975 and 1979 world championships.

Christine Pietzner was a New Zealand netball player who played for her country on 21 occasions.

Julie-Ann Coney is a former netball player who played for New Zealand on 37 occasions and was its 14th captain. She later became a television commentator on netball matches and a corporate hospitality organizer for sporting events.
