Gallery Int Fashion Fair is a trade fair held twice a year during Copenhagen Fashion Week, in August and February.

History

Christian Gregersen [1] is the founder and owner of Gallery Int Fashion Fair. [2] He is also the co-organizer of Copenhagen Fashion Week and the owner of Gregersen Communication (founded in 1999).

Description

Gergersen founded Gallery Int Fashion Fair in 2005 as a small showroom. By 2008, it had grown into a full sized fair with 350 leading brands.

Currently, the fair represents more than 150 leading, design driven fashion brands from Scandinavia and 200 design driven brands from around the world. Gallery has also one of Europe's biggest show scenes with more than 20 catwalks shows each year and has had 120 shows within the last 6 years. [3] Among the shows are Marimekko, Jill Sander, Cheap Monday, Vivienne Westwood, Henrik Vibskov, and Peter Jensen. Among the exhibitors are Wood Wood, Tiger of Sweden, Kitsune, Altewai.samoe, Carin Wester, Veronica B. Vallnes, Tabernacle Twins, Foreign Affairs, Soulland, Norse Project, Sand and Day. [4]

Ungdomshuset

Ungdomshuset was the popular name of the building formally named Folkets Hus located on Jagtvej 69 in Nørrebro, Copenhagen, which functioned as an underground scene venue for music and rendezvous point for varying autonomist and leftist groups from 1982 until 2007 when—after prolonged conflict—it was torn down, and later also for its successor, located on Dortheavej 61 in the adjacent Bispebjerg neighbourhood. Due to the ongoing conflict between the Copenhagen Municipality and the activists occupying the premises, the building on Jagtvej was the subject of intense media attention and public debate from the mid-1990s till 2008.

Milan Furniture Fair

The Milan Furniture Fair is a furniture fair held annually in Milan. It is the largest trade fair of its kind in the world. The exhibition showcases the latest in furniture and design from countries around the world. It is considered a leading venue for the display of new products by designers of furniture, lighting and other home furnishings. The show, also known as "Salone", "Milano Salone" and "Milan Design Week," is held every year, usually in April, in the FieraMilano complex in the Milan metropolitan area town of Rho. Besides the Salone, in April every odd year Euroluce exhibition takes place and every even year EuroCucina and the International Bathroom Exhibition are held along the Milan Furniture Fair.

Art Basel Swiss annual art fair

Danish design
