Game of Golf Institute (GOGI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization geared towards the growth of recreational golf through the use of technology and education.

GOGI was founded in 2011 by Derek V. Smith and golf instructors Todd Anderson and Randy Myers. Co-founder Kristian Traylor joined GOGI in 2012. [1] [2]

Website

GOGI's website facilitates engagement and social sharing among recreational golfers, golf instructors and organizations (clubs, associations, courses) as well as game improvement using instructional videos, swing analysis and stats analysis. [3]

Mobile Applications

GOGI's mobile applications are integrated with the GOGI website. GOGI's mobile applications allow users to access the website's features and instructional videos as well as enter and track golf scores, access golf tips, access the rules of golf, download practice drills and record and analyze golf swings using a smartphone or tablet computer. [4] Actions completed in the applications synchronize with the website.

Michael S. Breed is a professional golf instructor and television host. In 2003, he was selected as a Top 100 Instructor in America by Golf Magazine, and in 2011, he was voted one of the Top 50 Instructors in America by Golf Digest. In 2012, Breed was chosen as the PGA's National Teacher of the Year. Prior to his time as a television host, Breed was the Head Golf Professional at Sunningdale Country Club for 12 years from 2001–2012, and the Head Golf Professional at Birchwood Country Club, as well as the Assistant Professional at Deepdale Golf Club and Augusta National Golf Club. He has served on different boards for the Metropolitan PGA for over 10 years and has represented the PGA of America at the National Golf Day in Washington D.C. since 2012. He is involved in charities such as The First Tee, Folds of Honor, Hope for the Warriors, Wounded Warriors Foundation and Salute Military Golf Association.

Khan Academy is an American non-profit educational organization created in 2006 by Sal Khan. Its goal is to create a set of online tools that help educate students. The linear television channel broadcast for six months on DirecTV before closing due to undercapitalization. The company later shed its television assets in bankruptcy reorganization.
