Serodyanjiv Gankhuyag (born 6 September 1994) is a Mongolian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Mongolian Premier League club Khangarid and the Mongolian national team.

Gankhuyag has played for the Khangarid FC since 2013. [1]

International career

Gankhuyag made his senior international debut on 3 November 2016 in a 2016 AFC Solidarity Cup match against Macau. [2] He also competed with the under-23 team at the 2017 Aceh World Solidarity Tsunami Cup. [3]

The Mongolia national football team represents Mongolia in international football under the control of the Mongolian Football Federation (MFF). Founded in 1959, the federation was inactive between 1961 and 1997 and the men's national team did not feature in any international fixtures during that time. The federation was reorganised in 1997 and joined the AFC the same year. In 1998 the federation became a full member of FIFA, the international governing body for the sport. The MFF joined the EAFF as one of eight founding members in May 2002. Because of the harsh climate and a lack of suitable venues, the team has hosted few home matches in the past. However, in 2002 the MFF, with assistance from FIFA, began developing facilities in the country, including the creation of the 5,000-seat MFF Football Centre, which will allow the team to play more matches in Mongolia. The 2007 Mongolian National Championship was the fortieth recorded edition of top flight football in Mongolia and the twelfth season of the Mongolian Premier League, which took over as the highest level of competition in the country from the previous Mongolian National Championship. Erchim were champions, their second title, Khangarid were runners up, with Khoromkhon in third place.

The 2015 Mongolian Premier League also known as the Khurkhree National Top League is the 47th edition of the tournament. Two new teams entered the competition, Deren and Soyombiin Barsuud to increase the number of teams to nine. The season started on 16 May 2015 and was ended on 26 September.

The 2016 Mongolian Premier League is the 48th edition of the tournament. Erchim came into the season as defending champions of the 2015 season.

The 2017 Aceh World Solidarity Tsunami Cup was a four-team association football youth tournament held at the 45,000-seat Harapan Bangsa Stadium in the Indonesian city of Banda Aceh between the 2 and 6 December 2017. The tournament was organized as a show of solidarity for the areas affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami and to bring major entertainment events back to the city. Originally many teams were invited to participate, particularly those nations affected by the tsunami. Turkey and Australia were expected to participate but were not part of the final lineup. Tournament organizers would like to make the Aceh World Solidarity Tsunami Cup a yearly event. The tournament followed the same rules as football at the Summer Olympics, with the nations' under-23 teams competing with a maximum of three overage players on each roster.
