Bharatanatyam, also previously called Sadira Attam, is a major form of Indian classical dance that originated in Tamil Nadu. Bharatanatyam is one of the oldest classical dance traditions in India. It was nurtured in the temples and courts of southern India since ancient times It is one of eight forms of dance recognized by the Sangeet Natak Akademi and it expresses South Indian religious themes and spiritual ideas, particularly of Shaivism, Vaishnavism and Shaktism.
Kathak is one of the eight major forms of Indian classical dance. The origin of Kathak is traditionally attributed to the traveling bards of ancient northern India known as Kathakars or storytellers. The term Kathak is derived from the Vedic Sanskrit word Katha which means "story", and Kathakar which means "the one who tells a story", or "to do with stories". Wandering Kathakars communicated stories from the great epics and ancient mythology through dance, songs and music. Kathak dancers tell various stories through their hand movements and extensive footwork, their body movements and flexibility but most importantly through their facial expressions. Kathak evolved during the Bhakti movement, particularly by incorporating the childhood and stories of the Hindu god Krishna, as well as independently in the courts of north Indian kingdoms. Kathak is unique in having both Hindu and Muslim gharanas and cultural elements. Kathak performances include Urdu Ghazals and commonly use instruments brought during Muslim rule.
Hema Malini is an Indian film actress, writer, director, producer, dancer and politician. She is considered one of the most successful actresses of her time in Hindi cinema history. In 1963, she made her acting debut in the Tamil film Idhu Sathiyam. Malini first acted in a main role in Sapno Ka Saudagar (1968), and went on to feature in numerous Bollywood films, primarily as the lead actress. In most of her films, she starred opposite her husband Dharmendra and with Rajesh Khanna and Dev Anand. Malini was initially promoted as the "Dream Girl", and in 1977 starred in a film of the same name. She has played both comic and dramatic roles, as well as being a dancer. She was one of the highest paid Indian actresses from 1976 to 1980.

Kaup (Kapu), is a town in Udupi district of Karnataka, India. It lies on the way between Udupi and Mangalore beside National Highway 66. A road from Kaup goes to interior places like Manchakal and Shirva. It is 13 km south of Udupi and 40 km north of Mangalore. It is famous for its lighthouse and the three Mariamma temples and a fort built by Tippu Sultan. Kapu is declared as one of the Taluks in Udupi district by Govt of Karnataka. Koti and Chennayya are legendary Tuluva twin heroes characterized in the Tulu epic of the same name, which is considered one of the two truly long epic in Tulu language. The birthplace of Koti and Chennaya is Padumale in Puttur taluk, Dakshina Kannada. The story of these heroes may be taken to roughly five hundred years back, when reference to Ballads were made in the Tulu Padana. Koti and Chennayya were born to the Deyi Baidethi of the Billava people of Tulu Nadu. Owing to the brothers heroic deeds, they are worshipped and remembered as protectors. They died in combat near Yenmoor. Memorial temples called garadi "gymnasiums" have been built in the name of Koti and Chennayya all over Tulu Nadu.
Hiriadka is a town in the Udupi District in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is quite close to Udupi. It is 15 km from Udupi and 24 km from Karkala. It lies on the Udupi-Hebri road and is famous for the fair along with a festival called Siri Utsava/Siri Jaatre which happens every year in the month of April–May. Jai Bolo Telangana is a 2011 Telugu-language historical drama film based on the Telangana Movement, produced & directed by N.Shankar on Mahalakshmi Arts banner and Cinematography by T. Surendra Reddy. Starring Jagapathi Babu, Smriti Irani, Meera Nandan, Sandeep Singh in the lead roles and music composed by Chakri. The film has won five Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Awards, including the Sarojini Devi Award for a Film on National Integration, and was screened at the 6th South Asian Film Festival, held in Goa during September 2011.
