Gary Bennett (born 13 November 1970) is an English former professional footballer. A prolific striker, he holds goalscoring records at two of his former clubs.
Born in Enfield, Bennett was in the youth system at Tottenham Hotspur, but began his senior career at Colchester United, for whom he played in the FA Trophy final in 1992. [1] In 1994, he left Colchester to join Woking, and during the 1990s also played for Dagenham & Redbridge [2] and Braintree Town, for whom he scored a record 57 goals in one season. [3] In the 2000s he had two spells with A.F.C. Sudbury, playing 253 games and scoring 172 goals, [4] and remains the club's all-time top scorer. He also played for Chelmsford City (who paid £3,000 to sign him from Sudbury in 2000), Witham Town, Ipswich Wanderers (where he was player/assistant manager) and Tiptree United. After playing a solitary match for Tiptree, Bennett stopped playing football and currently works as a postman. [4]
Amalgamated Football Club Sudbury is a football club based in Sudbury, Suffolk, England. The club was formed in 1999 by the merger of Sudbury Town and Sudbury Wanderers, the process giving rise to the name Amalgamated Football Club Sudbury. and went on to win the Eastern Counties League Premier Division five seasons in a row as well as reaching the final of the FA Vase in three successive seasons, records for both competitions. They are currently members of the Southern League Premier Division Central and play at the King's Marsh Stadium in the Ballingdon-Brundon area of Sudbury.

Warren Aspinall is an English former footballer who played as a midfielder or forward in the Football League, most notably for Portsmouth and Carlisle United. He later joined Aston Villa for a club record fee of £315,000, helping the club back to the top tier of English football, before signing for Portsmouth for another club record fee. He made over 150 appearances in all competitions for Pompey, before moving to AFC Bournemouth after a loan spell at the club and Swansea City. He later played for Carlisle, aiding the club's promotion cause and helping them win the Football League Trophy. He also played for Brentford, Colchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion. He retired from playing through an ankle injury in 2000.

It was the 23rd season of the competition for teams from the Conference and other semi-professional teams below this level. The match was held on 10 May 1992 at Wembley Stadium, London, and was contested by Colchester United and Witton Albion. Both were appearing in the final for the first time.
