Gary Bennett is an Australian former rugby league referee. [1]

Bennett began his refereeing career in the Newtown District Junior Rugby League. He was subsequently graded to referee in the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL), gaining his first first-grade match in 1971. He went on to control 19 top grade matches between 1971 and 1974. [2]

Away from rugby league Bennett was a teacher and education administrator. [3]

He is also the first NRL referee in history to send off a player for an alleged bite, he sent Kevin Proctor off in the Round 14 match of 2020, when Cronulla-Sutherland played against the Gold Coast.

Greg Hartley is an Australian former referee in the New South Wales Rugby Football League competitions of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Hartley has been described as "perhaps the most colourful and controversial referee in football history".

Cyril Dimon was an Australian rugby league referee. Dimon began his refereeing career in the Newtown District Junior Rugby League. He was subsequently graded to referee in the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL). He refereed nine first grade matches in 1961–1962. In his first game of 1962, Dimon was criticised by the players for the large number of scrum penalties. Dimon dismissed both hookers from the game. In 1963 Dimon, by then a touch judge, took over a first grade match from Col Pearce when Pearce damaged a knee tendon.
