The Soviet Union women's national rugby union team were the women's national rugby union team of the Soviet Union. They played six matches between 1990 and 1991, losing them all. The team was severely underfunded, surviving the 1991 Women's Rugby World Cup by bartering and selling items of kit and other artefacts such as vodka. They ceased playing after 1991, because of the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Adam Kleeberger is a Canadian rugby union player. Previously, Kleeberger had played for Canadian clubs University of Victoria and Bayside as well as Rotherham Titans of the RFU Championship. Keith Crossan is a former Irish rugby union international player who played as a winger for the Irish national rugby union team from 1982 to 1992. Known for his searing pace on the left wing, Crossan won 41 caps, scored 12 tries and was part of the Triple Crown-winning teams of 1982 and 1985. In the 1985 championship, Crossan scored a superb try in Cardiff and a vital try at home to England as Ireland won the championship. He also scored two tries against Canada at the 1987 Rugby World Cup. He played in two Rugby World Cups: 1987 and 1991. Crossan also played for the Barbarians against Argentina in 1990, scoring two tries.
Gary Halpin was an Irish rugby union international player and champion hammer thrower. He played as a prop for Wanderers F.C., Leinster, London Irish, Harlequins and Ireland. He scored a try against New Zealand at the 1995 Rugby World Cup and subsequently celebrated with an obscene gesture directed at the All Blacks.
