Gary Johnston (born 29 April 1941) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). [1]

The blockage remained overnight and so the following day he underwent an oesophagoscopy under general anaesthetic. He recovered in time for the Round 5 game against Richmond.
