Gary L. Stewart [1] (born July 24, 1961) [2] is an American college basketball coach and the former head men's basketball coach at the University of California, Davis. [3] In 2011, Stewart stepped down at UC Davis and became special projects administrator in the athletic department. [4] Later that year, Stewart was named men's head coach at Stevenson University. [5] He led the Mustangs in his second season to the playoffs for the first time in 7 years.

Stewart has also coached at Long Beach State, La Verne, California State University, East Bay, UC Santa Barbara, and Washington State. In 1997, he was named NCAC Co-Coach of the Year, and Bay Area Men's College Coach of the Year. [5]

Benjamin Clark Howland is an American college basketball coach who most recently served as the men's head coach at Mississippi State University from to 2015 to 2022. He served as the head men's basketball coach at Northern Arizona University from 1994 to 1999, the University of Pittsburgh from 1999 to 2003, and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) from 2003 to 2013. Howland became the first men's coach in modern college basketball history to be fired shortly after winning an outright power-conference title. He is one of the few NCAA Division I coaches to take four teams to the NCAA tournament.

Robert Allen Williams is an American college basketball coach and the former head men's basketball coach at the UC Santa Barbara. Jim Sochor was an American football player, coach, and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at the University of California, Davis from 1970 to 1988 during which time compiling a record of 156–41–5 and won 18 consecutive conference championships, then a college football record. Herbert A. Schmalenberger was an American football, basketball, and swimming coach and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at University of California, Davis in 1958 and again from 1964 to 1969, compiling a record of 28–38. He was the men's swimming head coach there from 1957 to 1962 and the men's basketball head coach for the 1957–58 season. Schmalenberger was interim athletic director in 1988.

The 1969–70 UC Irvine Anteaters men's basketball team represented the University of California, Irvine during the 1969–70 NCAA College Division men's basketball season.
