Greg Dalton, also known by the moniker Gary War, [2] is an American musician whose recordings combine elements of psychedelia, garage rock, synth-pop, and shoegaze. [3] He is a former member of Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti and has released three albums, a split LP with Purple Pilgrims, two EPs and several singles. [4] Currently,[ when? ] he is based in New Zealand.
Dalton is originally from Gloucester, Massachusetts. [2]
In July 2012, he released Jared's Lot on the Austrian Spectrum Spools label, [2] and toured in support of it. [5] He also collaborated with Taylor Richardson as Human Teenager, and released the album Animal Husbandry in the same year. [6] Towards the end of that year, he moved to New Zealand. [7]
In November 2013 War shared an album with the New Zealand duo Purple Pilgrims, contributing four songs to the release on Upset The Rhythm. [8]
Surfer Rosa is the debut studio album by the American alternative rock band Pixies, released in March 1988 on the British label 4AD. It was produced by Steve Albini. Surfer Rosa contains many of the elements of Pixies' earlier output, including Spanish lyrics and references to Puerto Rico. It includes references to mutilation and voyeurism alongside experimental recording techniques and a distinctive drum sound.

Dicks were an American punk rock band from Austin, Texas, formed in 1980 and initially disbanded in 1986. After the first breakup, singer Gary Floyd formed the band Sister Double Happiness, with drummer Lynn Perko, then later fronted a project called Black Kali Ma. Marissa Nadler is an American musician and fine artist based in Boston, Massachusetts. As a singer-songwriter, her music has been characterized as blending "traditional folk, Gothic Americana, and dreamy pop into an original musical framework". Darker My Love was a psychedelic rock band based in Los Angeles, California. Guitarist/vocalist Tim Presley, a former member of the hardcore punk band The Nerve Agents, formed the band in 2004 with drummer and former Nerve Agents bandmate Andy Granelli, then also of The Distillers. They were joined shortly thereafter by bass guitarist Rob Barbato, who shared songwriting and vocals with Presley, and rhythm guitarist Jared "The Sandwich" Everett. Will Canzoneri joined the band on organ and clavinet in the latter half of 2006. The band released three LPs and one EP. Presley is also a visual artist responsible for much of the band's imagery.
