Gauri's older brother Arjun Vishnuvardhan is an International Chess Master and the 2006 National G/60 Chess Champion of the United States.

Koneru Humpy is an Indian chess player best known for winning the FIDE Women's rapid chess championship in 2019. In 2002, she became the youngest woman ever to achieve the title of Grandmaster (GM) at the age of 15 years, 1 month, 27 days, beating Judit Polgár's previous record by three months. In October 2007, Humpy became the second female player, after Polgár, to exceed the 2600 Elo rating mark, being rated 2606.
Pentala Harikrishna is an Indian chess grandmaster. He became the youngest grandmaster from India after attaining the title in 2001, a record now held by Gukesh D. Harikrishna won the Tata Steel Group B in 2012 and the Biel MTO Masters Tournament Open event in 2013. At the Asian Team Championships, Harikrishna won team gold once, team silver twice and individual bronze once.
Levon Grigori Aronian is an Armenian-American chess grandmaster. A chess prodigy, he earned the title of grandmaster in 2000, at age 17. He is a former world rapid and blitz champion and has held the No. 2 position in the March 2014 FIDE world chess rankings with a rating of 2830, becoming the fourth highest-rated player in history.
Ray Robson is an American chess player. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 2010. Robson fulfilled the requirements for the title in 2009 at the age of 14 years, 11 months and 16 days, making him the youngest ever United States Grandmaster at the time.
Chirukandath Manoj Arjun Vishnuvardhan, generally known as Arjun Vishnuvardhan, is an Indian chess player and International Master in the United States of America. At his 15 years of age, in May 2006, he became the National Game-60 Chess Champion of the United States, by beating International Master Edward W. Formanek. This victory over the top International Master made Arjun to become the youngest National Game 60 Champion of the United States.
