It has 2,106 km of boundaries, shared with Slovakia to the north, Ukraine to the northeast, Romania to the east and southeast, Serbia to the south, Croatia to the south and southwest, Slovenia to the west and southwest, and Austria to the west.

The Santa Clara River Valley is a rural, mainly agricultural valley in Ventura County, California that has been given the moniker Heritage Valley by the namesake tourism bureau. The valley includes the communities of Santa Paula, Fillmore, Piru and the national historic landmark of Rancho Camulos. Named for the Santa Clara River, which winds through the valley before emptying into the Pacific Ocean between the cities of Ventura and Oxnard, the tourist bureau describes it as "Southern California's last pristine agricultural valley nestled along the banks of the free-flowing Santa Clara River."
The Wenatchee Mountains are a range of mountains in central Washington State, United States of America. A major subrange of the Cascade Range, extending east 50 miles (80 km) from the Cascade crest, the Wenatchee Mountains separate the drainage basins of the Yakima River from the Wenatchee River. The crest of the range forms part of the boundary between Chelan and Kittitas Counties.
The Greater Caucasus is the major mountain range of the Caucasus Mountains. It stretches for about 1,200 kilometres (750 mi) from west-northwest to east-southeast, from the Taman Peninsula of the Black Sea to the Absheron Peninsula of the Caspian Sea: from the Western Caucasus in the vicinity of Sochi on the northeastern shore of the Black Sea and reaching nearly to Baku on the Caspian.
The Capitol State Forest is a 110,000-acre (450 km2) state forest in Thurston and Grays Harbor counties of the U.S. state of Washington. It includes part of the unusual Mima Mounds geologic feature.
The Sierra de las Uvas or Grape Mountains are a mountain range in Doña Ana County, New Mexico. The John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act, signed March 12, 2019, authorized the establishment of the Sierra de las Uvas Wilderness as a component of the National Wilderness Preservation System, protecting approximately 11,114 acres in the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument.
Narang, Kunar, Afghanistan نرنګ in Pashto and Persian is situated in the central part of Kunar Province, Afghanistan south of Asadabad. It is surrounded by high mountains and the Kunar River. The irrigation system is under rehabilitation. The land is in much good condition and fertile. The irrigation system is almost the best in Kunar province. About 75% of the people are educated. The Christmas Mountains are a series of rounded peaks in northern New Brunswick, Canada, at the headwaters of North Pole Stream and the Little Southwest Miramichi River, west of Big Bald Mountain, and south of Mount Carleton. The mountains, in part, separate the Miramichi River watershed from the watersheds of the Serpentine River and the Nepisiguit River.
The Chiemgau Alps are a mountain range in the Northern Limestone Alps and belong to the Eastern Alps. They are crossed by the Austria–Germany border: their major part is situated in Bavaria, Germany, and only a small section is within the states of Salzburg and Tirol in Austria. They reach their highest elevation in the Sonntagshorn, a peak straddling the German-Austrian border.
Highwood Mountains National Forest was established as the Highwood Mountains Forest Reserve by the U.S. Forest Service in Montana on April 12, 1906 with 45,080 acres (182.4 km2). It became a National Forest on March 4, 1907. On July 1, 1908 the entire forest was combined with Little Belt, Snowy Mountains and Little Rockies National Forests to establish Jefferson National Forest (Montana) and the name was discontinued. The lands are now included in Lewis and Clark National Forest.
Mica Peak is the name of two separate mountain summits in the United States located approximately 5.49 miles (9 km) apart; one in Spokane County, Washington and the other in Kootenai County, Idaho. The two peaks are located along the same ridge, which separates the Spokane Valley and Rathdrum Prairie from the Palouse. The mountains have an elevation difference of only 31 ft (9.4 m) and are the southernmost peaks of the Selkirk Mountains.
Mount Raoul Blanchard is the highest peak in the Laurentian Mountains, Quebec, Canada at 1,166 m (3,825 ft). It is located in the La Côte-de-Beaupré RCM, 64 kilometres (40 mi) north east of Quebec City and 19 kilometres (12 mi) north of Saint-Tite-des-Caps in the Réserve faunique des Laurentides.

The Hoodoo Mountains are a mountain range in the northwest United States, in north central Idaho. They are part of the Clearwater Mountains and are the source of the Potlatch and Palouse rivers. Located in northeastern Latah County and southeastern Benewah County, the high point is Bald Mountain at 5,334 feet (1,626 m) above sea level. On the west slope of the northern Rocky Mountains, the Hoodoos transition into the adjoining Palouse region, to the southwest.
