Geoff Morgan is an Australian businessman, known for co-founding Morgan & Banks with Andrew Banks. [1] [2] [3]

Career

Morgan co-founded Morgan & Banks, a recruitment agency with Andrew Banks in 1985. [4] It became a public company in 1995. He joined Bank's Talent2 International in 2003. [5]

Scouting

Morgan has been a member of the World Scout Foundation, the World Organization of the Scout Movement's trust company, and has represented the foundation served on the World Scout Committee since 2021. [6]

Recognition

In 2015 Morgan was inducted into the Order of Australia. [7] Together with Andrew Banks, was voted equal first in an industry poll of The 5 Most Influential People in the Recruitment Industry in the past 60 years. [8]

In 2014, Morgan and Banks were inaugural inductees to the Recruitment International (Australia) Recruitment Industry Hall of Fame, [9] for individuals who have made significant contribution to the Australian recruitment industry during their career. [10]

In 2004, Morgan and Banks won the Ernst & Young Australia, Master Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Eastern Region) for sustained success in business. [6]

Geoffrey Norman Blainey is an Australian historian, academic, best selling author and commentator. He held chairs in economic history and history at the University of Melbourne for over 20 years. In the 1980s, he was visiting professor of Australian Studies at Harvard University. He received the 1988 Britannica Award for 'exceptional excellence in the dissemination of knowledge for the benefit of mankind', the first historian to receive that award and was made a Companion of the Order of Australia in 2000.

Geoff Huegill Australian swimmer

Geoffrey Andrew Huegill is an Australian swimmer and dual Olympian who won seventy-two international medals, including two medals in Olympics and six world champion titles, throughout his career. He held eight world records, including 50 metres butterfly.

Belinda Lynette Green is an Australian model and beauty queen who won the Miss World 1972 contest at the age of 20. She became the second Australian to win the title; the first, Penelope Plummer, was crowned Miss World in 1968. The pageant was held in London, at the Royal Albert Hall. Daniel James Hall is an Australian musician from Melbourne who has been in two rock bands, Taxiride and Airway Lanes. With Taxiride, as guitarist, pianist and vocalist, he had a top 10 hit on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Singles Chart with "Get Set" and a No. 1 album with Imaginate in 1999 on the related Albums Chart. Last Train (song) 1993 single by Christine Anu and Paul Kelly

"Last Train to Heaven" is a song written by Paul Kelly for the album, Gossip, which was performed by his group, Paul Kelly & the Coloured Girls. It was re-written as "Last Train", a dance-orientated remake, and is the first single released by Christine Anu. Anu and Kelly performed "Last Train" as a duet, which was issued on 20 September 1993 and peaked at No. 93 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart in the following month. It was listed at No. 61 on national radio, Triple J's Hottest 100 for 1993.

Andrew Richard Banks is an English-Australian businessman and film producer. He co-founded recruitment company Morgan & Banks and founded HR business process outsourcing provider, Talent2 International. He was one of the 'Sharks' on the television series Shark Tank.

Australian mens national para ice hockey team

The Australian men's national para ice hockey team is the ice sledge hockey team representing Australia. The team made its debut at the 2018 World Para Ice Hockey Championships in Finland.

Elaine Saunders is an associate professor at the Swinburne University of Technology and executive director of Blamey Saunders, as well as an inventor, entrepreneur. She was elected a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science Technology and Engineering in 2019. She is one of only nine women out of 160 to win the Clunies Ross award for entrepreneurship, and has won many other awards, as well as given numerous keynote addresses on the value of entrepreneurship and innovation in STEMM.
