George Allan was a Scottish footballer who played for Leven Thistle, Partick Thistle and Hamilton Academical, as a wing half or inside forward. [1]
Allan joined Partick from Leven Thistle on 22 December 1897. He made his debut against Heart of Midlothian in a 6–2 loss on 25 December the same year. [2] He played his final game for the club on 3 May 1899 in a 4–0 loss against Queen's Park in the Glasgow League. [3] Overall, he made at least 22 appearances and scored 6 goals for the club in all competitions (11 and 6 in the Scottish Football League). [4]
Allan then joined Hamilton, [5] making his Accies debut on 16 September 1899 at home in a friendly against the Kaffirs from Transvaal. Overall, he made 31 appearances for Hamilton (21 in the league) across two seasons, and did not score. [6]
Partick Thistle Football Club are a professional football club from Glasgow, Scotland. Despite their name, the club are based at Firhill Stadium in the Maryhill area of the city, and have not played in Partick since 1908. The club have been members of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) since its formation in 2013, having previously been members of the Scottish Football League. In the 2020–21 season, Thistle won Scottish League One, the third tier of the SPFL structure, and returned to the Scottish Championship, having been relegated from there in 2019–20.

George Thoirs Geddes Bertram was a Scottish footballer who featured mainly for Airdrieonians. He signed for the Diamonds as a teenager from the junior leagues in 1927, having a difficult task of not only finding a role in the strong side of the 1920s which challenged consistently for the Scottish Football League title and won the Scottish Cup in 1924, but also specifically replacing Bob McPhail, the team's inside left who had moved on to Rangers.
