George B. Sutherland is an artist and teacher in Stamford, Connecticut. He specializes in watercolor and oils. He has work in both the impressionist and classical schools.
His teacher was George Passantino (1922–2004). Sutherland has had exhibits in the New York Jacob Javits Center and the World Trade Center.
The Bash Street Kids is a comic strip in the British comic magazine The Beano. It also appeared briefly in The Wizard as series of prose stories in 1955. The strip, created by Leo Baxendale as When the Bell Rings, first appeared in issue 604. It became The Bash Street Kids in 1956 and has become a regular feature, appearing in every issue. From 1962, until his death in 2023, David Sutherland drew over 3,000 strips in his time as illustrator.

The Pacific Zen Institute (PZI), is a Zen Buddhist practice center in Santa Rosa, California. Established in 1999, its stated mission is to "create a culture of transformation through meditation, koans, conversation, and the arts." Its founding director is John Tarrant, who developed ways of teaching koans that can orient anyone, including people with little or no experience in meditation or Zen, toward awakening and a rich, full engagement with their own lives. Elizabeth H. Sutherland Elementary School is a public K-8 school located in the Beverly neighborhood on the south side of Chicago, Illinois. It is part of the Chicago Public Schools system. The school is named for Chicago educator Elizabeth "Bessie" Huntington Sutherland, the first woman principal in Cook County. The current building was opened in 1925, one year after Sutherland's death.
