George Galanopoulos is a British commercial pilot and businessperson. He is best known as the co-founder of London Executive Aviation where he served as the managing director and then the CEO after being rebranded to Luxaviation UK. [1] He is a Board Member of The British Business and General Aviation Association (BBGA). [2]
Galanopoulos began his career in 1985 as a commercial pilot. [3] In 1996, Galanopoulos, Amanda Galanopoulos and Patrick Margetson-Rushmore co-founded London Executive Aviation, [4] [5] an air charter airline Headquartered at Stapleford Aerodrome near Romford, United Kingdom. [6] London Executive Aviation then operated a diverse fleet including, Beechcraft King Air 200 turboprop and the ultra-long-range Bombardier Global 6000. [7]
In May 2014, Luxembourg-based, Luxaviation Group acquired a 70% stake in London Executive Aviation which rebranded to Luxaviation UK as a part of the deal, while the founders retained a 30% share in the company. [8] [9] [10] [11] Galanopoulos continued in his position as the managing director of Luxaviation UK. [6] [12] In May 2020, Rushmore retired from his CEO position due to health issues and Galanopoulos became the CEO of Luxaviation UK. [9] [10] [13] After joining Luxaviation Group, Galanopoulos was appointed as the European head of charter for the group. [7] [14]

The Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100 is a very light (VLJ) business jet designed and produced by the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer. Announced in November 2005, it made its first flight on 26 July 2007 and was awarded a type certificate in December 2008; the first aircraft was delivered the same month. The Phenom 100 has been stretched into the larger Embraer Phenom 300. Powered by two rear-mounted Pratt & Whitney Canada PW600 turbofans, it can transport four to seven passengers, with a range of 1,178 nautical miles [nmi] with four occupants. As of April 2023, 401 had been delivered.
The Dassault Falcon 7X is a large-cabin, 5,950-nautical-mile [nmi] range business jet manufactured by Dassault Aviation, the second largest of its Dassault Falcon line. Unveiled at the 2001 Paris Air Show, its first flight took place on 5 May 2005 and it entered service on 15 June 2007. The Falcon 8X, first delivered on 5 October 2016, is derived from the 7X and has an extended range of 6,450 nmi made possible through engine optimization, aerodynamic refinements as well as an increase in fuel capacity. Featuring an S-duct central engine, the 7X, 8X and the Falcon 900 are the only trijets still in production, as of 2024.

The PlaneSense fractional program provides private air transportation, primarily within the United States, Canada, Mexico, The Bahamas, the islands of the Caribbean and more recently, Cuba. PlaneSense guarantees departure times as soon as eight hours after a flight request, depending on the size of the aircraft share owned for domestic flights on non-peak days. PlaneSense, inc. is not, itself, an air charter provider or commercial air carrier, but charter flights can be arranged through its sister company, Cobalt Air.

The Global 7500, originally named the Global 7000, made its first flight on November 4, 2016, was type certified by Transport Canada on September 28, 2018, and entered service on 20 December 2018.

The Pilatus PC-24 is a light business jet produced by Pilatus Aircraft of Switzerland. Following the success of the PC-12 single engine turboprop, work on the twin engine jet began in 2007 for greater range and speed, keeping the rough-field capability. The aircraft was introduced on 21 May 2013 and rolled out on 1 August 2014, with the maiden flight on 11 May 2015. The PC-24 received EASA and FAA type certification on 7 December 2017 and the first customer delivery was on 7 February 2018. Powered by two Williams FJ44 turbofans, it competes with the Embraer Phenom 300 and the Cessna Citation CJ4.
