George Halada was an immigrant from Bohemia. He would eventually acquire this property and operate it as a dairy farm. It remains in the family. The farm was added to the State Register of Historic Places in 1992 and to the National Register of Historic Places the following year. [3]

Stonefield, located at 12195 County Road VV outside Cassville, Wisconsin, United States, was the 2,000-acre (800-hectare) estate of Wisconsin's first governor, Nelson Dewey. Much of the original estate has been separated into Nelson Dewey State Park and the Stonefield historic site, an expansive museum operated by the Wisconsin Historical Society. The historic site takes advantage of the large property by offering several different areas for visitors, including an early Wisconsin farmhouse, a re-created agricultural village built to resemble those common around 1900, and a reconstruction of Nelson Dewey's home. Stonefield is also home to the Wisconsin State Agricultural Museum, which features a large collection of antique farm equipment.

The George Markell Farmstead, also known as Arcadian Dairy Farm and the Thomas Property, is a historic home and farm complex located at Frederick, Frederick County, Maryland, United States. It consists of brick house built about 1865, a brick smokehouse, a bake oven, two stone domestic outbuildings, an ice house, a springhouse, a frame stable, a frame chicken house, a mid-20th century guest house, and various sheds and outbuildings. Nearby is a large gambrel-roofed concrete block barn. The main house has combined Greek Revival and Italianate stylistic influences. The once large Markell dairy farm, with its lane to the Ballenger Creek ford of the Monocacy River, served as the primary approach route to the battlefield by Confederate troops during the July 9, 1864 Battle of Monocacy during the American Civil War.
