Georges J.F.M.G. Dallemagne (born 17 January 1958 in Belgian Congo), is a Belgian politician and doctor.
He was born in Fataki, a small village in the Belgian Congo. [1]
He currently has a medical degree and has worked Africa and Asia with Doctors Without Borders. [1] He was then CEO of Handicap International.
He was a Belgian federal representative from 20 March 2008 to 6 May 2010 and then from 6 December 2011 (replacing Joëlle Milquet, appointed to the federal government) until May 2013.
He was then Senator (from 13 June 1999 to 18 May 2003 and 12 July 2007 to 20 March 2008), alderman of communal property, sports and public cleanliness (2001–2004) and former local councillor (2001–2004 and December 2006 – March 2007) of the City of Brussels.
He is a member of the Humanist Democratic Centre, former Social Christian Party. [2]
On 16 May 2013, he became federal representative, replacing Myriam Delacroix-Rolin, who resigned, and served until 25 May 2014.
In July 2014, he succeeded Céline Fremault as federal representative after Fremault became Brussels minister. [3]
He co-chairs the Belgium-Taiwan Friendship Group of the Belgian parliament. [4]

Bart Albert Liliane De Wever is a Belgian politician. Since 2004, De Wever has been the leader of the New Flemish Alliance (N-VA), a political party advocating for the independence of Flanders. He is also a member of the Chamber of Representatives. De Wever played a prominent role in the 2007 Belgian government formation and presided over his party's victory in the 2010 federal elections when N-VA became the largest party in both Flanders and in Belgium as a whole.
Léo Pétillon was a Belgian colonial civil servant and lawyer who served as Governor-General of the Belgian Congo (1952–58) and, briefly, as Minister of the Belgian Congo and Ruanda-Urundi (1958).
The Great Mosque of Brussels is located in the Cinquantenaire Park. The original building was built by architect Ernest Van Humbeeck in an Arabic style, to form the Oriental Pavilion of the National Exhibition in Brussels in 1880. At that time the pavilion housed a monumental painting on canvas: “Panorama of Cairo”, by the Belgian painter Emile Wauters, which enjoyed major success. However, lack of maintenance in the twentieth century caused the building to gradually deteriorate.
The Banque du Congo Belge (1909-1960), Banque Belgo-Congolaise also known as Belgolaise (1960-2012), Banque du Congo (1960-1971), Banque Commerciale Zaïroise (1971-1997), and Banque Commerciale Du Congo all refer to a banking group that operated mainly in the Belgian Congo from 1909 to 1960, the Republic of the Congo (Léopoldville) from 1960 to 1964, the Democratic Republic of the Congo from 1964 to 1971, Zaire from 1971 to 1997, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo from 1997 to 2020, going through a number of reorganizations over more than a century. In 2012, Brussels-based Belgolaise was wound down by its then owner Fortis Group, and in 2020, Kinshasa-based BCDC merged with Equity Bank Congo (EBC) to form Equity Banque Commerciale du Congo.
André Adam was a Belgian-French diplomat. His postings during his lengthy diplomatic career included Consul General of Belgium in Los Angeles (1982–1986), Ambassador to Algeria (1986–1990), Ambassador to Zaire (1990–1991), Ambassador to the United States (1994–1998), and Permanent Representative to the United Nations (1998–2001). He was killed in the double suicide bombing at Brussels Airport on 22 March 2016.

Marcel Antoine Lihau or Ebua Libana la Molengo Lihau was a Congolese jurist, law professor and politician who served as the inaugural First President of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Congo from 1968 until 1975, and was involved in the creation of two constitutions for the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

In 2017, Kurdish President Massoud Barzani visited Belgium and met with Minister-President Geert Bourgeois of the federal region of Flanders, where the latter stated that the upcoming Kurdish referendum in September 2017 should be respected and Deputy Prime Minister of the federal government in Belgium Jan Jambon has stated that all nations have the right to self-determination.
