Georgia Sea Turtle Center is a nature center and rescue and rehabilitation facility for sea turtles on Jekyll Island, Georgia, United States, that was founded in 2007.
The Center features interactive exhibits and patient viewing areas. In addition to caring for sick and injured turtles, the Center has an educational mission, and presents daily programs, field trips, guided tours and beach walks.
The Center is housed in the former Power Plant building of the Jekyll Island Club, at 214 Stable Road. It is a contributing structure in the Jekyll Island Historic District, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. [1]

Located on the southeast Georgia coast, midway between Savannah and Jacksonville, St. Simons Island is both a seaside resort and residential community. It is the largest of Georgia's renowned Golden Isles. Visitors are drawn to the Island for its warm climate, beaches, variety of outdoor activities, shops and restaurants, historical sites, and natural environment.

Keller is a small unincorporated community located in southern Bryan County, Georgia, United States, east of Richmond Hill. Its boundaries are ill-defined, but the community could be said to be centered on the intersection of S.R. 144 and Belfast-Keller Road. Currently the area, like most of South Bryan, is an unincorporated community of extensive residential development with a number of planned neighborhoods. However, Keller also has a significant historical aspect. It is near Fort McAllister Historic Park, an earthen Civil War installation captured by General William Sherman on his March to the Sea. Bryan Neck Presbyterian Church, established in 1839 and rebuilt in 1885, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is located on Belfast-Keller Road about a mile from the S.R. 144 intersection. A number of antebellum plantation houses or sites exist along the marshes and waterfront areas of extreme south Bryan County, though none are in public hands or are preserved as historic sites.
The Golden Isles of Georgia consist of barrier islands, and the mainland port cities of Brunswick and Darien, on the 100-mile-long coast of the U.S. state of Georgia on the Atlantic Ocean. They include St. Simons Island, Sea Island, Jekyll Island, Little St. Simons Island, Sapelo Island, Blackbeard Island, Historic Darien and Historic Brunswick. The islands are part of a long chain of barrier islands known as the "Sea Islands", located along the coasts of South Carolina, Georgia and northern Florida.
The Jekyll Island Club was a private club on Jekyll Island, on Georgia's Atlantic coast. It was founded in 1886 when members of an incorporated hunting and recreational club purchased the island for $125,000 from John Eugene du Bignon. The original design of the Jekyll Island Clubhouse, with its signature turret, was completed in January 1888. The club thrived through the early 20th century; its members came from many of the world's wealthiest families, most notably the Morgans, Rockefellers, and Vanderbilts. The club closed at the end of the 1942 season due to complications from World War II.
Wassaw Island is one of the Sea Islands. It is located on the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of the U.S. state of Georgia and is within the borders of Chatham County. The island and its surrounding marshlands are part of the Wassaw National Wildlife Refuge, which has a total area of 10,053 acres (40.68 km2) of marsh, mudflats, and tidal creeks, including approximately 7 miles (11 km) of undeveloped beaches. The land mass is 76 percent salt marshes and 24 percent beaches, dunes, and maritime forest. The refuge is a part of the Savannah Coastal Refuges Complex.
The Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge is a 66,287 acre (267 km²) National Wildlife Refuge in southeastern South Carolina near Awendaw, South Carolina. The refuge lands and waters encompass water impoundments, creeks and bays, emergent salt marsh and barrier islands. 29,000 acres (120 km2) are designated as Class I Wilderness. Most of the refuge is only accessible by boat. The Intracoastal Waterway passes the Refuge. Mainland facilities include the refuge's headquarters and visitor center which are located on U.S. Highway 17 about 30 minutes by car from Charleston, South Carolina.

The Brunswick River is a 6-mile-long (10 km) tidal river in Glynn County, Georgia. It begins at the confluence of the South Brunswick River with the Turtle River southeast of Brunswick and flows east to St. Simons Sound, the strait between Saint Simons Island to the north and Jekyll Island to the south.
The Buffalo River is a 4.5-mile-long (7.2 km) tidal river northwest of Brunswick, Georgia. It is part of the Brunswick River network of tidal channels along the Atlantic coast of the U.S. state of Georgia.
The Turtle River is a 17.6-mile-long (28.3 km) tidal river in the vicinity of Brunswick in Glynn County, Georgia. It is the main tributary of the Brunswick River.
St. Simons Sound is a sound in Georgia that prevails between Jekyll Island and St. Simons Island. It is part of the waterway from the Atlantic Ocean to the South Brunswick River to the port at Brunswick, Georgia. The St. Simons lighthouse stands on the north side of the sound. The depth of the sound is determined to be 32 feet (9.8 m) through a channel of treacherous shoals.
Faith Chapel is a historic chapel on Old Plantation Road in Jekyll Island, Georgia and was built in 1904. It was used as a non-denominational chapel until 1942. The state of Georgia purchased it along with Jekyll Island in 1947. It is administered by the Jekyll Island State Park Authority and was opened to the public in 1970. It has a wood "A" frame and a brick foundation. The interior and exterior walls are shingled, with gargoyles that are replicas of the ones at Notre Dame Cathedral. The chapel was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971 and it is open to the public.
Charles Alling Gifford was an American architect and a partner in the New York City firm of Gifford & Bates. He is best remembered for his resort hotels, but also designed houses, churches, and five armories for the New Jersey National Guard.
The Rockefeller Cottage, also known as Indian Mound Cottage, is a house on Jekyll Island, Georgia. It is next to the Jekyll Island Club. It stands three stories high, and has a total of 25 rooms. There are nine bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and seven servant rooms. The house has many distinguishing features such as an elevator, a cedar-lined walk-in safe, and taps for hot and cold salt water on the bathtub in the master bedroom bath. Tours of the mansion are provided by the Jekyll Island Museum.
