The Neo Phaliron Velodrome was a velodrome and sports arena in the Neo Faliro District of Piraeus, Greece, used for the cycling events at the Athens 1896 Summer Olympics. The property was donated by the Athens-Piraeus train company to the Hellenic Olympic Committee. It became the home of two football clubs which expanded into more sports: Ethnikos Piraeus (1923) and Olympiacos CFP (1925).

The Alexander Gomelsky EuroLeague Coach of the Year is an annual award of Europe's premier level basketball league, the EuroLeague, that is given to each season's best head coach. The Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium, commonly referred to as the Karaiskakis Stadium, is a football stadium in Piraeus, Attica, Greece, and the home ground of the Piraeus football club Olympiacos. It is named after Georgios Karaiskakis, a military commander of the Greek War of Independence, who is considered a national hero and was mortally wounded in the area.
The 2011–12 Greek Football Cup was the 70th edition of the Greek Football Cup. A total of 57 clubs, ten less than in the last edition, were accepted to enter. The competition commenced on 9 November 2011 with the first round and concluded in April 2012 with the final between Olympiacos and Atromitos, with Olympiacos winning 2–1 after extra time. The delay of the start of the tournament was due to judicial decisions after the Koriopolis scandal.

The 2020–21 Greek Football Cup was the 79th edition of the Greek Football Cup. It took place with the participation of the 14 clubs from the Super League 1, as there was no competitive action in the lower divisions until early January due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The HFF decided that the Cup would be held with the participation of teams only from the top-flight Super League, which was normally in progress. The winner of the Cup qualified for the next season's Europa Conference League third qualifying round.
