He was the top box-office attraction from 1939 to 1941, and one of the best-paid actors of that era. At the height of a career marked by declines and comebacks, Rooney performed the role of Andy Hardy in a series of 16 films in the 1930s and 1940s that epitomized mainstream America's self-image.

Taurog directed six Martin and Lewis films, and nine Elvis Presley films, more than any other director.
Quality of Life, also known as Against the Wall, is a 2004 drama film about the story of two graffiti writers in the Mission District of San Francisco. Directed by Benjamin Morgan, Quality of Life stars Lane Garrison, Brian Burnam, Luis Saguar and Mackenzie Firgens. Morgan co-wrote the screenplay with Burnam, who is a former graffiti writer. The film was shot and edited in the Mission District, home to one of the world's most active and influential graffiti scenes.

Barry Nelson, Robert Mitchum and Don DeFore appear together as boisterous soldiers in uncredited supporting roles.

Night Walk was shot between Los Angeles and five cities in Morocco. It premiered at the 2019 Moscow International Film Festival. In 2021, Night Walk was acquired by Lionsgate, making it the first Moroccan film in history to get Hollywood distribution.
