Gerald Ellott

Gerald James Ellott MNZM (1926 - 6 December 2024) [1] [2] was a New Zealand architect and philatelist who signed the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 1988. [3] He was a past president of the Royal Philatelic Society of New Zealand, and a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects. [4]

In the 2008 Queen's Birthday Honours, Ellott was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for services to philately. [5] Ellott has been awarded the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie Research Medal. [6]

Álvaro Bonilla Lara won the Lichtenstein Medal in 1965. He was a lawyer by profession. Bonilla Lara was a member of the Society of Costa Rica Collectors and an expert on the revenue stamps of Costa Rica. In 1998, his History of the Revenue Stamps of Costa Rica (1870-1970) was updated by Héctor R. Mena and Oscar C. Rohrmoser as the Costa Rica Revenue Stamp Catalogue (ISBN 0964524767).

Robert P. Odenweller is an American philatelist who is a member of the National Postal Museum's Council of Philatelists and a signatory to the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists. He is a member of The Collectors Club of New York, and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Philatelic Society London and the Royal Philatelic Society of New Zealand. From 1996 to 2000 he was President of the Grand Prix Club.

Gilbert James Allis was a philatelist who was a specialist in the stamps of southern Africa. In 1931, he was awarded the Crawford Medal by the Royal Philatelic Society London for his work Cape of Good Hope: Its postal history & postage stamps. He was the President of the Cape Town Philatelic Society and the first signatory to the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists of South Africa.

Alan Keith Huggins MBE is a philatelist who in 1981, with Marcus Samuel, was awarded the Crawford Medal for his work Specimen stamps and stationery of Great Britain.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Alma Lee</span> British philatelist (1914–2000)

Hedwige Alma Lee FRPSL RDP was a Swiss-born naturalised British philatelist who specialised in the stamps of Switzerland and in topical collecting. She won large gold medals for her displays at Naba 1984, Stockholmia 1986, Hafnia 1987 and Finlandia 1988 and her collection was exhibited in the Court of Honour at PhilexFrance 1989 and New Zealand 1990. She signed the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 1991 and later became the only non-resident member of the Consilium Philateliae Helveticae. The Royal Philatelic Society London award the Lee Medal in memory of Alma and her husband Ron.

William Augustus Townsend was a British philatelist who signed the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 1969.

Friedrich Charles Krichauff was an Australian architect, philatelist and amateur photographer.

Raymond James George Collins was a New Zealand philatelist who was added to the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 1936 and was the youngest man to receive that honour. Collins was unable to attend the signing ceremony in person.

Lieutenant-Colonel William Byam was a British Harley Street physician whose home in Guernsey was occupied by the Germans during the Second World War. In his spare time, Byam was a noted philatelist who was added to the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 1949.

Marcel Charles Stanley was a New Zealand philatelist who was added to the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 1971. He was a Fellow of the Royal Philatelic Society of New Zealand.

Cheryl R. Ganz FRPSL is an American philatelist who was appointed to the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 2018.
