Gerard Tubier (born 26 October 1938) is an Australian fencer. He competed in the team foil event at the 1964 Summer Olympics. [1]

The teams were drawn into four groups of four with each group playing a round-robin tournament. Gerhardus Marinus Maria Nijboer is a former Dutch long-distance runner. Nijboer competed in three consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1980, when he won the silver medal in the marathon. He became European champion in the marathon in 1982, for which he was named Dutch Sportsman of the year.

Nauru competed in the Olympic Games for the first time at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, United States from 19 July to 4 August 1996. The delegation consisted of three weightlifters; Quincy Detenamo, Gerard Garabwan, and Marcus Stephen. Their best performances were by Detenamo, who came 20th in the men's 76 kg category and Garabwan who finished 24th in the men's 91 kg event. Stephen failed to finish his event, but would later become President of the Republic.

Gerard Wybo Veldman, known as Wybo Veldman is a former New Zealand rower who won an Olympic gold medal at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. He teamed with Dick Joyce, Tony Hurt, John Hunter, Lindsay Wilson, Joe Earl, Trevor Coker and Gary Robertson and Simon Dickie (cox) to win the gold medal in the eights. Veldman had previously been in the crew of the eight that finished fourth at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City. Veldman won a then record 21 New Zealand national rowing titles.
The United States Virgin Islands competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics, which were held in Beijing, the People's Republic of China from August 8 to August 24, 2008. The appearance of its 23-person delegation marked its fifteenth appearance at the Olympic games, and its tenth appearance at the Summer Olympic games. In total, seven athletes participated on behalf of the Virgin Islands in Beijing. Of those, John Jackson and Tabarie Henry progressed to a post-preliminary event, and Henry reached semifinals in his own. There were no Virgin Islander medalists at the Beijing Olympics.
