Gerhard Wies is a paralympic athlete from Germany competing mainly in category F56 throwing events.
Gerhard competed in both the 2000 and 2004 Summer Paralympics on both occasions in the shot, discus and javelin. His medal success came in the shot put, winning the bronze medal in 2000 and improving to silver in 2004. [1]
The State of Palestine compete as Palestine at the Paralympic Games. Their first participation came at the Sydney Paralympics in 2000, where Husam Azzam won bronze in the shot put event. Palestinian athletes have won three Paralympic medals to date: a silver and two bronze.
Gino De Keersmaeker is an athlete and Paralympian from Belgium competing mainly in category F42 discus throw and shot put events. He competed in all 6 Paralympic Games between 1992 and 2012, winning a gold medal in 1996 and silver medals in 2000 and 2004.
Namibia made its Paralympic Games début at the 1992 Summer Paralympics in Barcelona. These were the first Summer Paralympics to be held since the country's accession to independence from South Africa in 1990, and thus the first Games in which Namibia was able to take part. For its inaugural participation, the country sent just two athletes, both women, who both competed in discus, javelin and shot put. They did not win any medals.
Tunisia made its Paralympic Games debut at the 1988 Summer Paralympics in Seoul. It was represented by a single athlete, Monaam Elabed, who won two bronze medals in athletics. The country has competed in every subsequent edition of the Summer Paralympics, although it has never taken part in the Winter Paralympics. Tunisian competitors have only ever taken part in athletics events, with the sole exception of Dalila Tabai who competed in powerlifting in 2000.

It has participated in every subsequent edition of the Summer Paralympics. The country is set to first compete at the Winter Paralympics in 2022.
Bahrain made its Paralympic Games début the same year as its Olympic début, at the 1984 Summer Paralympics in Stoke Mandeville and New York City, sending a delegation to compete in athletics.
