Varley founded LFO in 1990 with Mark Bell, whom he had known since 1984. [2] Their first release LFO was released by Warp Records in 1990 and reached the British single charts.
During the mid-1990s Varley focused on his solo productions. His debut album Kushti was released in 1996 as G-Man. In the same year Varley left LFO. [3] He released music on his own imprint G Records as well as on the German labels Studio K7 and Force Inc. Music Works.
In 1999 Varley moved to Wiesbaden, Germany. [2] [4] In 2000, he founded the label GMR Records. [4]
Industrial rock is a fusion genre that fuses industrial music and rock music. It initially originated in the 1970s, and drew influence from early experimental and industrial acts such as Throbbing Gristle, Einstürzende Neubauten and Chrome. Industrial rock became more prominent in the 1980s with the success of artists such as Killing Joke, Swans, and partially Skinny Puppy, and later spawned the offshoot genre known as industrial metal. After Varley left the group in 1996, Bell continued solo to release Advance (1996) and Sheath (2003). Bell died in October 2014, effectively ending the project.

LFO were an American pop and hip hop band formed in 1995 and consisted of singers Brad Fischetti, Rich Cronin, and Brian "Brizz" Gillis. In 1999, Gillis left the group and was replaced by Devin Lima. The group disbanded after Cronin's death in 2010 but briefly reunited in 2017 before Lima's death a year later.
Larry Heard is an American DJ, record producer, and musician who has recorded under various names, most notably Mr. Fingers. He is widely known as a pioneering figure in 1980s house music, and was leader of the influential group Fingers Inc., whose 1988 album Another Side was the first long-form house LP. He is regarded as a progenitor of the deep house subgenre, bridging the gap between the futurism of house and the lush sound of disco. The track was released by Avex Trax in Japan and Taiwan on May 12, 1999, and through Avex Entertainment Inc. worldwide in September 2008. It was Hamasaki's final single to be distributed as a Mini-CD, a format that debuted at the start of her career in April 1998. "To Be" was written by Hamasaki herself, while production was handled by long-time collaborator Max Matsuura. Musically, it is a J-Pop that was written in third person perspective, much like the content from the parent album.
