Ghadir Freeway or Abyek-Charmshahr Freeway or Tehran Southern Bypass Freeway [1] is a freeway in Iran that was opened on March 27, 2020. [1]
This 158-kilometer-long freeway starts in the city of Abyek in Qazvin Province and ends in Charmshahr in Tehran Province. Along its route, this freeway is connected to the Karaj-Qazvin, Tehran-Saveh, Tehran-Qom, and Qom-Garmsar freeways. [2]
The Abiq-Cheramshahr Freeway began construction on July 1, 2015, with a 30% participation from the Iranian government and 70% from the private sector, and passes through the provinces of Qazvin , Alborz , Markazi , and Tehran . The construction cost of this project was 247 trillion tomans, and Khatam al-Anbia Construction Headquarters invested 70% of the project, and was responsible for the design, construction, and operation of the project.
