The Gibraltar World Music Festival (GWMF) is an annual music festival held in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar. The event features a different theme every year, inspired by the cultures of referenced part of the world.
Gibraltar is a British overseas territory with many musical influences. Rock based music is undergoing a renaissance with a multitude of local bands playing original material and covers. Local venues have begun accepting Gibraltarian bands and those from nearby Spain, resulting in a varied mix of live performances every weekend as well as some weekday nights.
Victoria Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Gibraltar. It is currently used mostly for football matches, but also hosts the annual Gibraltar Music Festival. It is located close to Gibraltar Airport just off Winston Churchill Avenue. It was named after the wife of Gibraltarian philanthropist John Mackintosh.
Porretta Terme is a town of the Reno Valley Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, a frazione of the comune of Alto Reno Terme, Emilia-Romagna. Porretta Terme is located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) south-west of Bologna. The Great Waters Music Festival (GWMF) is an annual summer music festival held in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, United States, two hours north of Boston. The festival was founded in 1995 to promote live musical performances of outstanding amateur and professional musicians. It consists of a wide range of musical performances including choral, symphonic, folk, pops, jazz, Broadway, and dance. Since the first festival, which attracted 325 attendees, it has grown to an audience of over 7,000 over its eight-week concert schedule. While originally concerts were held in a large white tent, the venue moved in 2011 to the newly built Kingswood Arts Center, an air-conditioned facility which seats nearly 1,000.

The Gibraltar Music Festival, as of 2017 known as MTV Presents Gibraltar Calling, is an annual pop music festival held in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar. The Government of Gibraltar's Ministry of Culture confirmed on 10 August 2012, that the inaugural event would be held on 8 September 2012 at Victoria Stadium. The first festival had a British artist, Jessie J, as headlining act. The rest of the line-up consisted of Ali Campbell from UB40, and local bands Noiz and Jetstream.
