The Pāla Empire was an imperial power during the post-classical period in the Indian subcontinent, which originated in the region of Bengal. The Hindu orthodoxy drew their lineage from the earlier Varman dynasty and thus ultimately from Narakasura i.e. Bhauma dynasty.
