Giovanni Matteo Konings, OSCr (died 1929) was a Prelate of the Roman Catholic Church.
Konings was a member of the Canons Regular of the Order of the Holy Cross. In 1926 he was appointed Prefect of the then Mission "Sui Iuris" of Bulawayo. He died in 1929.

Coen de Koning was a speed skater and cyclist. He started his sports career as a cyclist, but switched to speed skating and became the second Dutch speed skater to win a world title, in 1905. He finished second in 500 m, and won the 1500, 5000 and 10,000 m events. De Koning won the national all-around title in 1903, 1905 and 1912, and set national records in the 500 m and 10,000 m in 1905; these records stood until 1926 and 1929. De Koning also set a world record in one-hour skating, at 32,370 m in 1906, and won the Elfstedentocht in 1912 and 1917.
John Maxwell Lineham Love was a Rhodesian racing driver. He participated in 10 Formula One World Championship Grands Prix, debuting on 29 December 1962. He achieved one podium, and scored a total of six championship points. Harry Herbert Davies was a Southern Rhodesian Labour politician and Leader of the Opposition in the territory's Legislative Assembly from 1929 to 1944. Originally from Wales, he moved to Southern Rhodesia in 1920 and became an estate agent in Bulawayo. He ran for the Southern Rhodesian Labour Party in Bulawayo District in the 1924 general election, but was not elected. After standing successfully in Bulawayo South in the 1928 election, he sat in the Southern Rhodesian Legislative Assembly for 20 years. In 1929 he was elected leader of the Southern Rhodesian Labour Party, thereby becoming Leader of the Opposition, a post he held until 1944.

Conium, also called Conni, Conna, Konna, Kone, Cone, Demetrioupolis and Demetriopolis, was a town of ancient Phrygia Magna. According to the Peutinger Table, where the town name appears as Conni, it was located between Eucarpia and Nacolea, 32 Roman Miles from Eucarpia and 40 from Nacolea. Pliny the Elder calls the town Conium; Ptolemy calls it Conna or Konna. Under the Byzantine empire the town was called Cone or Kone, and was a bishopric of Phrygia Salutaris, of which Synnada was the metropolis. No longer the seat of a residential bishopric, it remains, under the name Cone, a titular see of the Roman Catholic Church.
