L'Origine du monde is a picture painted in oil on canvas by the French artist Gustave Courbet in 1866. It is a close-up view of the genitals and abdomen of a naked woman, lying on a bed with legs spread. The framing of the nude body, with head, arms and lower legs outside of view, emphasizes the eroticism of the work.

It was located close to the Bastille, in Paris, at 10 Boulevard de la Bastille in the 12th arrondissement of Paris.. La Maison Rouge has been definitely closed in October 2018.
Sébastien Leclerc or Le Clerc was a French artist from the Duchy of Lorraine. He specialized in subtle reproductive drawings, etchings, and engravings of paintings; and worked mostly in Paris, where he was counseled by the King's painter, Charles Le Brun, to devote himself entirely to engraving. Leclerc joined the Académie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture in 1672 and taught perspective there. He worked for Louis XIV, being made "graveur du Roi", doing engraving work for the royal house. Leclerc also engaged in periodic work as a technical draftsman and military engineer.

Daniella Isamit Morales is a Chilean–Venezuelan artist, musician and DJ who was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1982. Morales' work has been shown at Pulse Miami Contemporary Art Fair and Lucie Fontaine Gallery/art employer in Milan.

The Card Sharp with the Ace of Diamonds is an oil painting produced around 1636-1638 by Georges de La Tour, It is now in the Louvre, which bought it in 1972. Though its commissioner is unknown, it is signed Georgius De La Tour fecit under the card sharp's elbow and in the shadow of the tablecloth.
