Glasgow Warriors are a professional rugby union side from Scotland. The team plays in the United Rugby Championship league and in the European Professional Club Rugby tournaments. In the 2014–15 season they won the Pro12 title and became the first Scottish team to win a major trophy in rugby union's professional era. In 2023-24 they became the first Scottish side to win the United Rugby Championship in its current form. The side is known for its fast, dynamic and attacking style of play, using offloads and quick rucks. Defensively the club prides itself on its 'Fortress Scotstoun' where the club play at home.

Glasgow Gaels Gaelic Football Club or Glasgow Gaels GFC is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Glasgow. The team is a member of the Scottish GAA and are one of the most successful Scottish teams of all time. They currently cater for both Men's Gaelic football, junior and senior levels, Ladies' Gaelic football, and Juvenile Gaelic Football. The teams have competed in the All Britain championships, reaching the Men's All-British semi-finals in 2006. After defeating Dunedin Connollys in the 2022 Scottish Senior Championship Final, they marched on to achieve a historic first for the club winning the All-British Championship before losing out narrowly to Stewartstown Gaels from Tyrone in the Junior All Ireland Quarter Final. In 2016, the ladies won the All-British Junior Final after being runners-up in 2015. The ladies made history in 2016 by winning their first ever Scottish Senior League Title. In 2016, the ladies were also victorious against the European Champions, Belgium GAA, and advanced to the All-Ireland Quarter Final against Dublin's St. Maurs. The Junior Men made history with their first ever league and championship titles in 2016, defeating Dunedin Connollys on both occasions. The following year the juniors achieved a double winning the League and Championship in 2017, defeating Connollys and Dalriada respectively. They retained the junior championship in 2022. They are currently associated with Glasgow University GAA and Stirling University GAA. They have also been featured on Joe.ie's "80 clubs around the World" in 2016.

Tir Conaill Harps is the biggest Gaelic football club in Scotland in terms of structure and has a fully integrated youth system fielding teams for all age groups. The club's colours are green and gold.
University of Stirling Football Club are a football club based in Stirling, Scotland. They are associated with the University of Stirling and have played in the Lowland Football League since 2013. The 2013–14 Scottish Cup was the 129th season of Scotland's most prestigious football knockout competition. The tournament began on 14 September 2013 and ended on 17 May 2014. It was sponsored by bookmaker William Hill in the third season of a five-year partnership after a two-year extension was agreed, and was known as the William Hill Scottish Cup. The winner of the competition qualified for the second qualifying round of the 2014–15 UEFA Europa League.
East Kilbride YM Football Club are the oldest and most successful club based in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire. The club currently have seven adult teams competing in the Caledonian, Greater Glasgow Leagues and Central Scottish Over 35s as well as a Saturday Morning Team playing in the Saturday Morning Amateur Football Association, an under 21's side, an under 19's side and an old crocks walking team. 'The YM' is part of the EK United Community Club alongside East Kilbride YC and East Kilbride Girls. The club also host the most popular Player of the Year and Speakers night in the East Kilbride area and an annual Invitational Tournament.

This season saw the competition increase to 70 teams despite the demise of Selkirk and withdrawal of Eyemouth United, thanks to the relegation of Berwick Rangers to the Lowland League plus the addition of Glenrothes and Kinnoull to the East of Scotland Football League.
