Glorieta La Normal (or Glorieta de La Normal) is a roundabout in Guadalajara, in the Mexican state of Jalisco. [1] [2] [3] The area is serviced by the La Normal railway station.

Enrique Alfaro Ramírez is a Mexican politician and the Governor of Jalisco. In 2009, he served as mayor of Tlajomulco de Zúñiga. He mounted his gubernatorial campaign in 2012 under the Movimiento Ciudadano (MC) party but lost to the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). Alfaro Ramírez decided to run for mayor of Guadalajara that year and won the elections. After serving for three years, he ran for governor again under the MC and was victorious. This victory marked the MC's first gubernatorial win in its history. Within a week of the election results, however, he resigned from the MC and decided to be an independent governor, claiming he was never an active member of the MC.

Arzola Ortega began his criminal career in 1998 as a cargo truck thief and eventually joined the Milenio Cartel, the predecessor group of the CJNG. After several of his bosses were arrested and/or killed, he founded the CJNG with other defectors in the 2010s.

The line connects the Historical Centres of Zapopan, Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque, through the Diagonal Metropolitan Vial Corridor; consisting of Juan Gil Preciado, Juan Pablo II, Manuel Ávila Camacho, Alcalde / 16 de Septiembre and Revolución / Francisco Silva Romero avenues, from the Arcos de Zapopan neighbourhood until the Central Camionera Oriente of Guadalajara. It has 18 stations from south-east to north-west, of which 13 are elevated and 5 are underground. It stretches along 21.5 km. It is estimated that the line moves 233,000 daily passengers.

Line 4 is the fourth rail line of the Guadalajara Urban Electric Train System. It is 21.2 km (13.2 mi) long and will run from Las Juntas bus station of Mi Macro Calzada to the municipal capital of Tlajomulco. It is estimated that the number of daily passengers will be 106,000 passengers, and construction will cost 9.137 billion Mexican pesos. It officially began construction on May 22, 2022.
