Golan was an elite series of men's and women's professional one-day road bicycle races held in Syria. The event consisted of two one-day races (Golan I and Golan II). Each of the events were rated by the UCI as a 1.2 races. [1]

The 2010–11 UCI Asia Tour was the 7th season of the UCI Asia Tour. The season began on 10 October 2010 with the Kumamoto International Road Race and ended on 30 September 2011 with the Golan II.

Cycling at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Womens individual road race

The women's road race, one of the cycling events at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, took place on 29 July over a course starting and ending on The Mall and heading out of London into Surrey. Nicole Cooke of Great Britain was the defending champion.

The London–Surrey Classic is an annual 193 km (119.9 mi) men's professional one-day road bicycle racing starting and finishing in London and routed via the picturesque Surrey Hills. The first race of its kind was the London–Surrey Cycle Classic, on 14 August 2011, a 1.2 classification 140 km preparatory event for the 2012 Summer Olympics, which was won by sprinter Mark Cavendish. The men's and women's Olympic road races were held on a longer variation of the same course the following year. On 4 August 2013, the race found a permanent home as part of the Prudential RideLondon weekend, a two-day cycling festival held in London, a legacy event of the Olympics.
