Gopichand Lagadapati is an Indian actor, writer, director and producer. He made his acting debut in the Telugu film Anand , [1] directed by Sekhar Kammula, and debuted as a producer on the film Mr. Medhavi . [2]

Early life

Lagadapati was born in India. His father, Sangaiah Lagadapati, [3] is a Telugu professor. Lagadapati did his graduation in Hotel Management from a college affiliated with Osmania University, Hyderabad. His maternal grandfather Ramarao Bodduluri is a former Member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislature [4] from Jaggayyapet constituency.

Career

Lagadapati's first film as a lead actor is Rendella Tharuvatha , which received mixed responses and was a commercial failure at the box office. [5] [6] He next appeared in an Indian English film, On the Other Side [7] which was released in US. The film was released with the name Indian Beauty [8] in Telugu. [9]

In 2007, Lagadapati produced his first film, Mr. Medhavi in 2007, released in 2008. [10] The film was critically acclaimed but remained a commercial failure at the box office. [11] [12]

The film sketches the path of the young girl growing up into a woman who lives her life independently and with self-esteem. How the male protagonist enters the woman's life and how they fall in love with each other forms the rest of the story.

Kandireega (transl. Wasp) is a 2011 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy action film directed by Santosh Srinivas and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh under Sri Sai Ganesh Productions. Venkata Prabhu Prasad, professionally known as Saptagiri, is an Indian actor and comedian who works in Telugu films. He received Nandi Award as Best Male Comedian for his role in Express Raja (2016). He received Santosham Allu Ramalingaiah Smarakam Award at 15th Santosham Film Awards in 2017.
