The series is filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, with production based in Victoria on Vancouver Island. [7] The first film in the series featured the English Inn in Esquimalt as a five-star restaurant. [8] Scenes from the fourth film in the series, Eat, Drink and Be Buried were filmed in Oak Bay and near Trafalgar Park. [9] [10]

Maggie Price is a tough workaholic detective with the San Francisco Police Department and works in the homicide division. Recently divorced, she lives with her mother and thirteen-year-old daughter Abigail. A casual date turns into an encounter with the gourmet detective Henry Ross, who portrays himself as a charming and confident man with a refined taste for food. Henry and Maggie have been together for three months now. They attend a wealthy businessman and Henry's friend, David Weston's birthday party where Henry is catering food. During an enactment of a scene from the eighteenth century, a fake gun ends up killing one of David's four children. It is up to Henry and Maggie to find the killer as it gets likelier that they may be a family member, and that other family members may also be in danger. Brooke Elizabeth Burns is an American fashion model, game show host, actress, and television personality. Burns began her television career in 1995, portraying the supporting character Peg in the Spanish-American teen sitcom Out of the Blue (1995–1996), appearing in all episodes. Burns joined the cast of the action drama series Baywatch in 1998 and subsequently starred in Baywatch's second rendition, Baywatch: Hawaii, until she left the show owing to her first pregnancy. She appeared in 33 episodes.

Murder, She Baked is an American/Canadian television film series based on the cozy mystery novels written by Joanne Fluke. The television films are centered around small-town baker Hannah Swensen, portrayed by Alison Sweeney, and Detective Mike Kingston, played by Cameron Mathison. Five films for the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel were created based on Fluke's book series, with the fifth movie airing on March 26, 2017. The films took a four-year hiatus before returning as the Hannah Swensen Mysteries. The films are set in the fictional town of Eden Lake in Minnesota, reverting to Lake Eden like in the novels in the sixth film.

Mystery 101 is an American/Canadian series of mystery TV movies created by Robin Bernheim and Lee Goldberg. It stars Jill Wagner, Kristoffer Polaha and Robin Thomas. The series airs on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel in the United States and on the W Network in Canada. Co-lead Wagner posted in April 2022 regarding her concerns about Hallmark not talking with her about the series' status. Her concern was justified. The series was officially cancelled by the network a year later, in late April 2023.
Hailey Dean Mysteries is an American/Canadian mystery film series that stars Kellie Martin as the titular character, Hailey Dean, a prosecutor working with the District Attorney's office who later quits her job to become a marriage counselor and therapist and is based on characters from Nancy Grace’s best-selling series of “Hailey Dean Mystery” novels.
