The State Government and the Local Government are the two levels of government in Enugu State in Nigeria.
The governor is above a group of commissioners who he has placed as heads of ministries that oversee various portfolios. Both the governor and the commissioners form the Executive Council of Enugu State. [1]

Enugu is the capital city of Enugu State in Nigeria. The city had a population of 4,690,100 spread across the three LGAs of Enugu East, Enugu North and Enugu South, according to the 2022 Nigerian census.

Chimaroke Nnamani is a Nigerian medical doctor and politician from Enugu State. He was elected Governor of Enugu State in the 1999 Enugu State gubernatorial election from 1999 to 2007. He subsequently served as a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator for Enugu East Senatorial District from 2007 to 2011 and was re-elected in 2019.
Chief Bola Kuforiji-Olubi was a Nigerian traditional aristocrat, accountant, banker and politician. She was minister of commerce and industry in 1993 during the Interim National Government of Chief Ernest Shonekan. In addition to a variety of other chieftaincy titles, she held that of the Otunba Ayora of Ijebu Ode.

Frank Nnaemeka Nweke Jr is a Nigerian Politician, Entrepreneur, Teacher and Social Innovator. He is a two-time Federal Minister in Nigeria and former Director General, Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG). He is currently a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and vied for the position of Governor of Enugu in the 2023 Nigerian General Election, upon emerging the party candidate at the primary election in May 2022.
Inyi is a town in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria, approximately 60 kilometers from Enugu City and 35 kilometers from Nnewi. The name "Inyi" refers to a metaphor, which is an essential component in the creation of proverbs. It is the Igbo name for the red water tree. Due to historical events connecting the tree and the town's founder, he was given the name, which subsequently became the town's name. Inyi has several tourist attractions, including the Nwachighi stream, Ajala Inyi shrine, Okpu-ogho spring, Oji Alum Rapids, and the Sacred Heart Church. The town is also known for its pottery and traditional crafts. Visitors can also enjoy the hospitality of the Inyi people, who are known for their love of traditional music and dance. They also have a rich tradition of pottery and traditional crafts. The people of Inyi are primarily farmers, wine tappers, and petty traders. Women are skilled in pottery and the making of abacha varieties. Inyi people believe in God, the other gods, ancestors, and reincarnation. A popular festival in Inyi is the Ajala Inyi festival, which is held every year in October. Christmas and Easter are also celebrated in Inyi.
Responsibility of water supply in Nigeria is shared between three (3) levels of government – federal, state and local. The federal government is in charge of water resources management; state governments have the primary responsibility for urban water supply; and local governments together with communities are responsible for rural water supply. The responsibility for sanitation is not clearly defined.

He is also a former visiting fellow of the Brookings Institution's Africa Growth Initiative. Osita Ogbu was the director of the Institute for Development Studies, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. Aside from having served as former chairman of the Governing Council of the National Institute for Economic and Social Research (NISER), he is the Chief Executive Officer of the African Development Solutions International [ADSI] and a member of the Global Advisory Board of the Institute for Governance and Economic Transformation (IGET).
Sir Benedict Obidinma Odinamadu was a civil servant. He was the private Secretary to Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe., Dr. M.I. Okpara while Premiers of Eastern Region of Nigeria respectively and First Secretary to the Military Government of Colonel Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.
Nicholas Chika Ezeh is a Nigerian political economist, politician and entrepreneur. Ezeh wrote the commercialization proposal for the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex at Lagos in 1993. After the promulgation of Decree No. 68 of 1993 which gave birth to the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex Management Board (LITFCMB), he became a concessionaire of the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex in 2007. He is the Founder of the Aulic Group of Companies which interests are Infrastructural Investment/Development and Economic Management. Ezeh was the first president of Sun-Rise Club of Inyi town in Enugu State, noted for noticeably developing the town. He is the President and Founder of the Institute of African Studies at the International Personnel Academy, Kiev- Ukraine. He was the acting national chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Nigeria. He is the National Deputy Chairman (South), Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Nigeria. Ezeh was Senatorial Candidate under Labour Party, Enugu West, during the 2011 Nigerian Senate elections in Enugu State, and also Senatorial Candidate under the All Progressives Congress party, Enugu West, during the 2023 Nigerian Senate elections in Enugu State. He was awarded "honorary professor" by the Academic Council of the International Personnel Academy, Kiev- Ukraine on May 17, 2010.
