The Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya is the chief executive officer of the Central Bank of Kenya. The Governor also serves as a member of the board of directors of the central bank.
The current governor is Dr. Kamau Thugge, who was nominated by president William Ruto on the 15th of May 2023 after a competitive recruitment process carried out by the public service commission. [1] His tenure began on the 19th of June 2023 after vetting by the parliamentary committee on Finance, Trade and Planning and subsequent approval by the parliament of Kenya. [2] He succeeded Dr. Patrick Njoroge, who retired after two terms in the office. [3]

He was nominated to Parliament by The National Alliance (TNA) party which was part of the ruling Jubilee Coalition. He was the National Chairman of The National Alliance (TNA) until 9 September 2016 when the party merged with 12 others to form the Jubilee Party.
Brian Ouko Omollo, popularly known by his stage name Khaligraph Jones and often referred to as Papa Jones, is a Kenyan rapper known for his hit singles "Mazishi" and "Yego". He released his debut full-length studio album Testimony 1990 in June 2018. Khaligraph Jones has achieved numerous awards during his career. He was nominated for 'Best Male Artist' at the 2018 Afrimma Awards, won 'Best Hip Hop Artist' at the 2020 Afrimma Awards, and was nominated for 'Best International Act' at the 2020 BET Awards.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) is the current ruling political party in Kenya. Their slogan is "Kazi ni Kazi" and their symbol is a wheelbarrow. The party, initially called the Party of Development and Reforms, officially changed its name to UDA in December 2020. The party became notable in January 2021, and is allied with William Ruto, the President of Kenya.
Noordin Mohamed Haji, OGW, CBS is a Kenyan advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a position he has held for the last 21 years and the current Director of Public Prosecutions, replacing Keriako Tobiko who resigned in 2018. He is the second Director of Public Prosecutions after the promulgation of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, which made the Office an independent entity from the Attorney General's Office, which it had been previously under.
Chris Kiptoo is a Principal Secretary (PS) for National Treasury in Kenya. He assumed office in 04 December 2022, following reassignment by H.E. President wiliam ruto. He has also had a career spanning 15 years at the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) as a manager during which he was seconded to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Capital Markets Authority of Kenya (CMA) as Senior advisor and manager special projects, and to the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) Kenya as economic adviser to the prime minister, then Raila Odinga. Kiptoo also had a short stint at National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB).
Geoffrey Rigathi Gachagua is a Kenyan politician who is serving as Deputy President of Kenya since 2022. He previously served as the Member of Parliament for Mathira Constituency between 2017 and 2022 as a member of the Jubilee Party. In the 2022 election, William Ruto selected Gachagua as his running mate, and the two were elected with just over 50% of the vote.
Kamau Thugge is a Kenyan economist, banker, and the tenth and current governor of the Central Bank of Kenya. He assumed office on 19 June 2023.
