Govind Singh (born 10 June 1984 [1] ) is an academician and environmental activist based in Delhi. Singh is associated with the Jindal School of Environment & Sustainability at O. P. Jindal Global University as associate professor. [2] He is also the Co-Founder and Director of Delhi Greens NGO and also leads the Urban Ecology - Research & Action Lab. [3] Prior to his association with O. P. Jindal Global University, Singh was associated with Delhi School of Journalism, [4] Indraprastha College for Women and Cluster Innovation Centre, University of Delhi in the capacity of Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies & Management. [5]

Singh's primary contribution has been in the area of strengthening the environmental movement in Delhi and India, particularly among the youth. [6] His views on environment focus on the principles of Deep Ecology while simultaneously trying to create a balance between development and environmental protection. [7] His two significant contributions to environmental protection are the Delhi Greens Blog [8] and the concept of Urban Ecotourism. The Delhi Greens Blog won the Indian Bloggers Award 2013 under the Social/Environment Blog Category [9] and was subsequently indexed as a Momentum for Change, Lighthouse Activity by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. [10] In 2016, Govind Singh became the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Innovation for Inclusive Development (JIID) published from IP College. [11]

Shiv Visvanathan is an Indian academic best known for his contributions to developing the field of science and technology studies (STS), and for the concept of cognitive justice, a term he coined. He is currently Professor at O P Jindal Global University, Sonepat. He was Professor, Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT), Gandhinagar, India and has held the position of Senior fellow Center for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS) in Delhi He has also taught at the Delhi School of Economics. Mohit Ray is an Indian environmental and human rights activist based in Kolkata. He has campaigned for saving the Adi Ganga, Bikramgarh Jheel and other water bodies of Kolkata. His seminal work in this field is the extensive research on the water bodies and heritage ponds of Kolkata. His work has been published by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation and Ananda Publishers. He has also published a number of papers in technical journals. He writes regularly on environmental issues in different journals including The Statesman, a national daily, in Anandabazar Patrika, Ei Samay and Bartaman, the Bengali dailies. He has also campaigned for a long time against the persecution of minorities in Bangladesh and the citizenship rights of the Bengali Hindu refugees.

Aditya Narayan Purohit is an Indian scientist and professor who has mainly worked on ecophysiology of tree species and physiology of high altitude medicinal plants. He was the Vice-Chancellor of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University and director of the university's High Altitude Plant Physiology Research Center. He was also the Director of Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment and Development from 1990 to 1995.

Jamuna Sharan Singh is an Indian ecologist, academic and a former professor of botany and ecological sciences at Banaras Hindu University. He is known for his studies on the grassland ecosystems which are reported to have assisted in the better management of tropical grasslands. He is an elected fellow of the Indian National Science Academy, Indian Academy of Sciences, The World Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences, India. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, the apex agency of the Government of India for scientific research, awarded him the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, one of the highest Indian science awards, in 1980, for his contributions to biological sciences.

The Centre for Studies in Science Policy (CSSP) at Jawaharlal Nehru University is one of India's oldest and top ranked university affiliated think tanks focusing on science and technology studies in India. First established in 1972 as Center for Interaction of Science and Society (CISS), it was closed in the late 1970s by the state, finding it too critical of the nuclear energy/weaponry policies of the Indira Gandhi regime. In 1996 the centre was revived as the Centre for Studies in Science Policy. It has been regularly ranked 11th worldwide in the "Top Science and Technology Think Tanks" category of Global Think Tank Index Report.

Armin Rosencranz is the founder of Jindal Global School of Environment and Sustainability, at OP Jindal Global University, in Sonipat, India. In 1987, he founded the international environmental NGO, Pacific Environment, which he led until 1996. He has received five Fulbright grants – two to India, and one each to Australia, Indonesia and the Philippines. Rosencranz has a long-standing association with Stanford University, where he served as the President of the Student Body, a Faculty Resident in an undergraduate dorm, and a Trustee.

Abas Basir is an Afghan academic and politician who served as the Minister of Higher Education from 14 September 2020 to 15 August 2021. He also held various significant national and international posts. He has served as Director General of South Asia Co-operative Environment Programme (SACEP) who was nominated by the Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for a term of three years, from August 2018 to September 2020. Dr. Abas Basir was also appointed as Deputy for South Asia Neutregeon Hub between the years 2019–2020.

Prof. Govind J. Chakrapani born is an Indian geologist and former Vice Chancellor of Berhampur University in Odisha, India, who served there from 2019 to 2022. He joined as a Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at IIT Roorkee in January 1996 and held the same post till 2003. From 2003 to 2008, he held the post of Associate Professor and as Professor since 2008. He was the Dean at the School of Ecology & Environment Studies and the Officiating Dean at the School of Buddhist Studies Nalanda University from 2017 to 2018.
