Grae Morris (born 16 October 2003) is an Australian sailor. [1] He competed in the IQFoil event at the 2024 Summer Olympics, where he won the silver medal. [2]
Morris grew up in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. His father, Brett Morris, was a former national windsurfing champion. By the age of 11, he was competing at Formula and Slalom events across Australia, transitioning to the foil discipline at age 14. He combined rowing with playing rugby as a full-back whilst attending Cranbrook School. [3] [4]
In 2023, Morris earned Australia a quota spot for the IQFoil event at the 2024 Olympic Games after his performance at the Sailing World Championships in The Hague, [3] alongside finishing in fourth place at an Olympic test event in Marseille. He crowdfunded almost $10,000 to support his Olympic attempt. [4] He won the 13-race qualifying series, advancing him directly through the final three, and finished second in the final race behind Israel's Tom Reuveny. [5]
Gal Fridman is an Israeli windsurfer and Israel's first Olympic gold medalist. Fridman won a Bronze Medal in the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics, and his gold medal in the Athens 2004 Summer Olympics. He is the first of two Israelis athletes to win two Olympic Medals, and the first Olympic Gold medalist in Israeli history. His first name, Gal, means "wave" in Hebrew.

Valent Sinković is a Croatian rower. He is the older brother of fellow rower Martin Sinković, with whom he has won three Olympic gold medals. The brothers won gold in the double sculls at the 2016 Summer Olympics, the coxless pairs at the 2020 Summer Olympics and the coxless pairs at the 2024 Summer Olympics. He won the silver medal in the quadruple sculls at the 2012 Summer Olympics with his brother, David Šain and Damir Martin. Sinković is a six-time world champion, twice in quadruple sculls, double sculls and coxless pairs each.
Ahmed Kelly is an Iraqi-born Australian Paralympic swimmer. At the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, his third games, he won the silver medal in the Men's 150 m individual medley SM3. He has a been selected to compete at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, France - his fourth Summer Paralympics.
Paweł Aleksander Maria Tarnowski is a Polish sailor, son of Jacek Tarnowski, and Monika Wanicka. Tarnowski already competed at the top-level when he was a teenager, becoming a multiple medal winner in Junior World Championships. In 2011 and 2012, he won a gold medal at the RS:X Junior World Championships, and he won medals in European Champion. In first he started in classes Techno 293 class and then the RS:X class, (including in a category age under 17 and under 21 years of age. He competed in the 2024 Olympics in the iQfoil class and came 10th.
Nicola Lauren Olyslagers is an Australian high jumper. She won the silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympics and the bronze medal at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in the high jump. Olyslagers is the current high jump Oceanian record holder, and the world champion at the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships.
Jemima Montag is an Australian Olympic racewalker. She won the silver medal in the 2023 World Athletics Championships, won bronze medals in the 20 km walk and the Marathon walk relay in the Paris 2024 Olympics, and is a two-time Commonwealth Games champion.
Emma Wilson is a British windsurfer who won a bronze medal in the RS:X event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She won the RS:X events at the Youth Sailing World Championships in 2016 and 2017, and won medals at the 2018 and 2019 RS:X European Championships, and the 2022 and 2023 IQFoil European Championships. She won her second Olympic bronze medal in the iQFoil at the 2024 Paris Games.
Helen E. "Penny" Wilson is a British former windsurfer, who won multiple Windsurfing World Championships events. She competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics coming 6th and the 1996 Summer Olympics coming 7th.
Finn Hawkins is a British windsurfer. He won a bronze medal at the 2018 World U21 Sailing Championships in Liepāja and a bronze medal, and Team GB's first, at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires. He was subsequently a nominee for the UK Windsurfing Association's 2018 Windsurfer of the Year.
Sailing competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics were held from July 28th to August 8th at Marseille Marina. The number of sailors competing across ten different events at these Games has been reduced from 350 to 330, with an equal distribution between men and women. Furthermore, several significant changes are instituted in the sailing program for Paris 2024 to reinforce gender equality and vast diversity among the nations in the qualifying process.
Hélène Noesmoen is a French windsurfer who competes in the IQFoil class. She won the women's events at the 2021 IQFoil World Championships and the 2020, 2021 and 2022 IQFoil European Championships. Noesmoen also won the RS:X event at the 2018 Sailing World Cup event in Miami, and multiple junior world championships.
Sharon Kantor is an Israeli world champion windsurfer. Competing in the IQFoil class, she won the silver medal at the 2023 European Championships, and the gold medal at the 2024 World Championships. Kantor won the silver medal in the Women's IQ Foil representing Israel at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Marseille, France. She is Israel's first female Olympic medalist in sailing.
Merve Vatan is a Turkish sailor competing in the windsurfing class IQFoil. She qualified to participate at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.
Marta Maggetti is an Italian windsurfer who sailed in the RS:X class and then later the iQFoil windsurfer class. She was fourth in the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 on a windsurfer and in 2022 she won the IQFoil World Championship. She won a gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics
Islay Watson is a Scottish British female windsurfer. She won two silver medals at the IQFoil European Championships in 2020 and 2021.
